    Hello Dr. John:

I have recently been reading some literature from Dr Shippen. I know that in reading some past threads, you and he have consulted on occasion and I was wondering about the difference in opinion regarding using HCG as a sole TRT. Dr. Shippen feels this is the first approach, yet you mention that you only use it in conjunction with TRT?

Each individual case calls for specific protocols based on clincal interpetation by the treating medical profession. If every one system was identical it would make there job alot easier, but each individual's biochemistry is never often the same which makes it extremely challenging for the physcian. i kind of laughed when i asked shippen about endos treating people by numnbers. He kind of chuckeled and said " ignorance" I just started laughing LOL. One thing i will say about Dr shippen he does not candy coat stuff and he does let you know where he stands on certain topics (bodybiulders, and antiaging places )where the 2 big ones that really got him fired up !!

Some guys do good on HCG alone, I hear others don't get the same quality of life as with test injects. We'll see what the Doc says..

There is a couple famous anti aging Dr's in Europe who use it to treat Syndrome X with outstanding results. Supposedly it boosts insulin sensitivity

shows beginnings of insulin sensitivity problem

    Yep.

Glucose readings have all improved. More so than the T - only groups. So something is going on more so than just an increase in T.

hCG is thought to be a protective hormone for female mothers
