Thankx...I just got the script....
Get the blood draw in the am after a fast....

Tell them to look at your script and get your account ready.
Tell them that you will come again in couple days for the actual blood draw.
It is a big order, early in the morning they rush, make it easy on them, lees stress. less chance for screw up.
Do not eat from 9PM day before, drink glass or two of clean water 1-2 hours before test, so you stay hydrated.
I ask them to take a blood from another place than crook of the elbow, save veins for another time.
Take a good shower do not put anything on your skin.

Im wondering if I really NEED all of hose tests to establish a baseline....
And will it determine the presence of adrenal fatigue/thyroid...?

DR John....if bringing these tests to you for analysis...Is this the panel that you would want..?

If you have an idea what's wrong, and/or you are concerned about cost, you could get away with fewer tests.
T3 and T4 are the most useful tests for looking at thyroid status. For adrenals - aldosterone, DHEA-s and AM and PM cortisol.
You should definitely get CBC, blood lipids, chem panel and metabolic panel.

Before I took the tests, I got the codes and made sure they were all covered...
Insurance pays for all the tests!!!!
I'll post the results when I get them....
In addition, Anyone know how to test for EFA defeciency...?

Since I'm not on any testosterone supps, I DO take the blood tests after a fast, correct....?
Im pretty sure BC isnt gonna cover a panel like this again, and I want to be sure I'm establishing a baseline for treatment,.....
I was reading another thread where Dr. John mentioned that, due to the circumstance and timing, tests were essentially useless from a treatment/acessment standpoint....I want to be sure Im not making any similar mistakes......
And BTW, I may be taking these results to Dr John, if he deems them appropriate....

From point of view that insurance is covering the cost, anything is good.
If you have got any new codes please post them.
My experience, doctors do not have much "patience" to deal with this nitty gritties, does hi really care that you will have to pay unnecesarily.
Effort of treating patient so he gets well is big enough job.

Fatigue has a reason code.... Called BC and they said that code was acceptable and payable at 100%.
Then I got the codes from quest for all of the above referenced tests, and sent the test codes to BC...They came back as paid also....
Basically, I pre-approved my pymt.....
