Im asking as Im not American and my books on TRT and forum posts are all geared to US doctors.

We have the NHS
We have doctors who believe being low in T is not a problem.

Just wondering if there is a super doc over here i could drive 2 hours to visit and get a decent prescription/evaluation.

I suspect if i rock up to northampton general saying im feeling crap, fat, cant build muscle, low everything, they would give me some antidepressants, Ciallis and send me on my way!

Anti depressants is exactly what my doc suggested a year or so ago, going to try one more time with NHS next month when I going to ask for a referral to an endocrinologist then possibly go down the private route if I get no luck, there is a company called Balance my Hormones who I may well try and get costs from

Balance My Hormones are a bit of a rip off, if you can get to Doncaster you could try The Leger Clinic, I managed to get trt on the nhs, it is a struggle but if you persevere you should get there eventually

Bit of a strong statement. Have you been ripped off by them then?

You have a point :/

Other than NHS what choices are there?
I would highly recommend Dr Savage at Leger Clinic in Doncaster, his costs aren't as astronomical as other private Dr's and after he sees you if he believes you need treatment he will prescribe for you a private prescription so if he prescribes sustanon it's an average of £3 per vial, on top of that he will write to your GP giving his reasoning and also explaining his training and reasons for treatment etc and then it's upto your GP to decide if he'll prescribe on the NHS with Dr Savages guidance.

nice
what about the online low testosterone kits?

Lloyds pharmcy do them online - it asks you some questions ,the pharmacist sends you a private prescription for £35. They said I had low T based off a questionnaire and i had access to buy it myself at £35 a shot but to me that was expensive.

You need a doctor to look after you, that's what you get with balance my hormones and the one above.

At a guess the doc would still want to do a blood test, another option would be to carry on and get test from the online pharmacy, take it for a period of time, stop, then wait for your T levels to crash then go back to the Doc when you have the test levels of a young girl

I feel like ****. everyday.

Ive got a docs appointment lined up but im not expecting much.

Im so tempted to get this test out the way (legit online pharmacy with online DR) for ass cancer and test levels (£50). Once complete they'll give me allt he test i ever wanted.

Some blogs say just TRT anyway as low levels suck and everyones affected by low T, no exceptions...

I just wanna feel male again!

NHS are in the dark ages about hormones. There are very few endocrinologists over there who even believe in hormones. Most functional medicine doctors don’t even touch them. I collaborate with head doctors at breakspear. She is totally against hormones, but rather find the root cause of why they are low. I really can not blame Jeane as she is a great doctor

Another thumbs up for dr Stevens in Dorset, 10 hour round trip for my consultation but worth it. You’ll never get dialled in on the NHS and they don’t believe in using HCG either so you’ll also probably be infertile within 6 months.

Dorset will be a second or thrid choice. I can get TRT from the pharmacy for £50
however be nice to get it free

I also have health insurance so maybe something in that too

IVe sent for a test, we'll see what my results are before bothering.

I was just introduced to a new out of NHS endocrinologist. Collaborating on mutual case now with him on a female. I will see how receptive he is when comes to male hormones. The client seems to really like him and williing to want to learn..

You'll need a couple more blood tests with the NHS and a wait. Could speed it up if you have insurance.

NHS is hit and miss depending on area from what I know.

Sadly you have to really lay it on thick as to the impact it’s having on your life (not personal exp but someone I know).

I’m also guessing private insurance won’t cover it.....I have a decent private plan and it doesn’t as far as I know....

Good luck bro

My private insurance paid for me to see a urologist, but he was anti trt and sent me packing. Even though I was on the lowest level of the labs test and my estrogen was way below the limit.

So I had a good chat with my doc

He said wto get bloods done and go from there - if possible I may get referred to a urologist, but if the bloods come back normal we can manage it 'ourselves' at the clinic

So we'll see what can be done, he seemed very on my side especially as I did say it was affecting EVERYHTING.

Obviously did a profile on me for depression and gave me a sub for viagra

The bloods came back normal i see this morning, so hopefully that's not 'normal so no trt' as my private tests are showing different. NHS normal is low as feck. I believe normal just means Im not dying of cancer or diabetes etc.

I basically said "look at this graph... i have the same levels as an 118 year old man.. how is that normal" He couldn't disagree and I reiterated the pharmacist was ready to give me test but i wanted his check first. If he can at least give me the subscription then that will save me £100 a month

Had a younger sympathetic doctor this time and he agreed that even though my levels are considered the low end of normal they are not good for a 53 year old, will be getting bloods done and he said in the meantime he will contact an endocrinologist regarding a referral assuming my test levels are still low, so we will have to wait and see what happens in mid July when I see him again.

Had a case from Uk having low t the whole nine yards. I saw markers for potential mold in blood work as well as other labs we had ran. Further evalaution, we found his bathroom in the bed room had a leak underneath the floor. Due to his gene expression, he was more affected then rest of his family. He also felt better away from the house. This was a male who has been having health issues for years no explaination. The mold remediation came in cleaned up the mold properly. With in matter of weeks majority of symptoms of depression, mental fog and libido all improved. Need to look at the bigger picture not just chase symptoms.

I found it in work places, trapped in tissues, or hidden in other places. The biggest one is people’s car and the gyms

We can make a joke about it, but Uk is having a health crisis with Lyme and other tick borne illness which are being expressed from mold. Many clients have flown over to the US spend average of $25,000 or more on Lyme treatment with doctors only to get 30% better. When the mold was addressed majority of their fatigue and other symptoms improved. Trust me when it comes to Lyme diseases and UK,
I am right there on the front with the doctors working in collaboration with these challenges cases. The doctor’s hand in Uk are tied as to the type of approaches given due to being scrutinized by the NHS. Hormonal imbalances are more of a symptoms not often a causation. Since doctors are “specialists” they are missing the big picture as usual ..
