Optimal TSH is between 1-1.5
It's not always thyroid that is the issue either may be adrenals.
Again proper evalaution of full thyroid
Ft3 ft4 Tpo tgab rt3 TSH of tbg and 4 point adrenals cortisol is standard labs

My T3-Free and T4-Free are in normal range. In addition my TSH went high when I developed an III-Grade varicocele. I have adrenal-like symptoms. Can varicocele cause thyroid and adrenal issues? As to my knowldge the left testicular vein have the same bloodsuplly as the left kidney and adrenal gland.

Last TSH for me in august 2016 was 4.86.
It isn't normal, but I don't know the cause.

I've had the same question as you regarding if varicocele cause cause adrenal problems.
There was a guy I read about with this problem in 2007 who was theorising about it being the cause, Megazoid or something. He had a lot of information.

Fweed, I feel like there is something really minor that is causing our problems. Who knows maybe a really small hernia that is pressing on an artery. The thing is that, it looks like what we have is not something that is common knowledge. That's why the doctors can't give a diagnosis, but they don't want to analyze and find the cause of this problem. Sometimes I ask myself, how did the doctors in the past discover new diseases and such, if today's doctors don't want to think beyond the common medical knowledge.

Exactly my thinking too. From what I have read, it is only by perserverence, self study and luck that people have made any progress. In two or three cases, people saying that it took 20 doctors before they found a good one who would listen to them and could help.
Someone recommended to me to try University Hospitals, where they are more experienced and do research. Also finding a specialist who is also a researcher and has some curiosity.
I have wondered if it is a small problem that caused a chain of events - like derailing a train. But most sources say loss of testicle size is not generally reversible, though some function can be restored.

Doctors in general seem close minded and stubborn, only following what they have been taught, and not even using logic to think for themselves.

It is possible structural stress to the body. Even though it is a minor surgery there could have been factors your body just did not like
You always go back to the history and when you starting showing symptoms to look for the root cause
