Just started TRT and have question

I have had almost non-existent libido and lackluster (near bottom of range but not technically low) T and Free T values for about 3 years. After spending a lot of time looking at things like the possibility that depression or general psychological factors might be the cause, thyroid, nutrition, etc. my doctor has decided to try treating me with TRT.

He is having me take one Sustanon 250 injection every 3 weeks.

Can anyone comment on what the pro and cons of such a TRT approach would be?

Websites I recommend are excelmale and PeakTestosterone dot com. FB pages are Testosterone and Testosterone Replacement Therapy Discussion. Great resources and information.

Thanks for the suggestions. I hope someone here will have something to say too, though!

the biggest downside is that even with the choice of esters, your testosterone levels will be on a roller coaster ride

the only pro is less shots.
You should be on 1-2 shots a week to start with about 100mg of cypionate or enanthate to get you about 70mg of test a week. Once every few weeks leads to huge swings in hormone levels and it just doesn't work as well.

Why do you choose those particular quantities? Is 100mg a week basically the standard dosage for everyone? I don't live in the US and am in a social healthcare system. I don't think weekly injections are going to be an option that is available to me.

One sust 250 shot every 3 weeks sounds absolutely awful to me. Sustanon should be injected every other day due to the short esters included in sustanon which is a blend of various testosterone esters. If you want only one shot every week or two, go with enanthate or cypionate.
Your doctor needs to read up on wtf he's prescribing you. I can't believe he is actually putting you on that protocol.

That definitely isn't right. It's largest component is an ester that has a half-life of 15 days. Maybe you are thinking of something else.

An very old post from a very experienced guy I have saved for years.
The numbers I have in red are accurate for me within 10-20 points when I use enanthate split 2x/w. I have blood work to prove it. The best part about 125mg/w split into 2 is NO AI and my E2 is below the mid range. 200mg provided no added benefit to mood, libido or physical performance or aesthetics. It only caused aromatization and the need for the use of an undesirable AI. Not to mention elevated RBC, hemoglobin and hematocrit which cause other unwanted and unhealthy sides.

Yes, it includes longer esters but it also has short esters and so to maintain stable levels of the drug in your system, you have to inject more frequently. At a very minimum of injections per week I would say twice a week.

Ask your doctor about Reandron1000. It's a modified undecylenate ester that is released over a period of 10-12 weeks. I've been on it for two years and my endo has me taking a shot once every 3 months and bloodwork has been stable for those two years. However it's a 4cc shot and does give some top notch PIP.
