HCG & Transdermal Test

Just a little background. I have been diagnosed as secondary, have thyroid issues, and adrenal issues. All are being treated. My doc finally agreed to HCG. I started last week doing 400IU E3D. I was using a compounded test cream at 150mg per day plus a 5gm pack of Androgel. I know it is a lot, but my values were never above 500 and doc would not put me on injectable test. My question is how did you guys cut back your test use when you started on HCG? Did you half it? I was planning on staying at this dose and getting blood work in about a month and make adjustments from that. Also, 400IU E3D, is that a good starting point for HCG? Thanks.

Are you trying to start HCG monotherapy? If not, I wouldn't really cut down or taper down on the test-cream until you get bloodwork. You may want to ramp up the adex though if necessary, or be prepared to.

The thing is with HCG, it will take some time before your testes are sensitive to LH again, so it could take some time before it starts to increase your test levels. You could try on a higher HCG dose and then taper down over time, to speed up LH sensitivity again (similar to SWALE's protocol). Things to discuss with the doc.

No, not planning on monotherapy... yet. I want to see how the blood work looks and make adustments as needed.

oh there are many different ones. I'd just search for HPTA restart protocol, and/or talk to doctors who specialize in a bit more involved stuff like that. www.allthingsmale.com has one of the better doctors to ask that sort of question.

After reading quite a few of the posts on HPTA restart protocol, it seems like the outcomes are all over the place. I did not see any post that stated that it worked well for anyone. I did not check out allthingsmale yet.

Why are you Secondary do you have a Pituitary Problem for were you doing Steroids. If you are Secondary due to the use of Steroids then see about getting a Dr. to work with Dr. John about a restart. I think you Secondary or Hypopituitary and a restart will not work to add HCG to your cream just do a 500 IU shot of HCG every 3 days after about the 15 th. shot of HCG do labs see how your levels look I never cut back on my T dose I cut back on my HCG dose every 8 weeks until my levels that went up on it started to fall. I started at 150 mgs of Depo T every week and added HCG 500 IU's 3x's a week after the 15th. shot my TT levels went from 600 to 1200 this is how I figured out I am Secondary or Hypopituitary due to a head injury 28 yrs ago.

You cut back on your HCG dose until your levels that went up start to fall. I went down to 300 IU's from 400 and my levels fell so I now do a 80 mgs shot of Depo T every 3 days and I shoot 400 IU's the 2 days each in between my T shots. If your on more HCG then your testis can handle it converts into Estradiol big time and this takes away all he good the T and HCG was doing. And will kill your sex life.

Becaue I am Hypopituitary and needed heart sugary last yr. My Heart Dr.'s put me on HGH telling me my low levels of IGF-1 did in my heart.

I am not sure why I am secondary. To be honest, I have done a few cycles but always did pct. My problems started becoming evident after continual inhailed corticosteroid for asthma. I had a bad time with my asthma and the put me on Advair then Symbicort. In 3 months on those, I put on 30 lbs of fat. Thats when I started looking into what my problems were. So I guess, I will stay at my current dosing and get labs in about a month. I wonder if my dose is causing some E2 issues. This past week, I have noticed a lack of morning wood and lower libido. Guess I will find out when I get the blood work. Thanks for the info, as always, it is appreciated.

You can wait for labs on estradiol but I can tell you by what you just posted your high. Get some Indolplex/DIM and take one tablet at dinner time when your levels come down your night time and morning wood will come back so strong it will wake you up. I gage my Estradiol levels by my wood I keep my levels down using arimidex and it can bring you down to low when this happens you lose your wood and taking Viagra will not get it up. When this happens I just stop taking the Arimidex until the wood comes back that day I go back on it but take less. On DIM you can go to low so you do the same thing but cut the tablet in half. If you use Indolplex/DIM there is a lot of junk out there make sure you get this brand I know it works.

Thanks for the recomendations pmgamer. I will keep an eye on the E2 symptoms. I have adex on hand if it gets out of control. I will look into the DIM.
