Been on a two year hiatus from working out because of an inguinal hernia but now I want to get back into training. Looking to get a rowing machine but was wondering is it okay to row if you had an inguinal hernia?

Also if some one has a good full body dumbell beginner workout for hernia recoveries that would be awesome. Even after two years I still have occasional pains around that area so I want to stay away from over training that area.
