Technical question here. I just started stacking AA with PAL's Anabolic Edge. It seems like it'd be a great combo, but last night I was reading that resveratrol has anti inflammatory properties.

Does anyone know if those properties would be enouugh to counter the beneficial pro inflammatory effects of AA? This has started making me wonder if this stack is as ideal as I originally thought.

I don't remember ever reading that creatine was anti-inflammatory, but I could be mistaken.

i dont believe Creatine is an anti inflammatory, but i could be wrong.

but with that said, limit fishoil pills, because the AA is proinflamatory and is what causes muscle growth, if you inhibit that process you inhibit muscle growth.

Yeah, I'm taking a break from fish and flax oils while on AA. I just found this study about resveratrol and its effect on AA, prostaglandin activity, etc.

Resveratrol Modulates Arachidonic Acid Release, Prostaglandin Synthesis, and 3T6 Fibroblast Growth -- Moreno 294 (1): 333 -- Journal of Pharmacology And Experimental Therapeutics

Also found this:
Resveratrol

What I wonder, though, is if the prevention of conversion of AA to substances that promote tumor growth also stymies the muscle growth action of AA. I'm going to try to read up more on all this and may hold off on ant resveratrol containing products until after I finish AA.

hmm, that is definetly a great question, i see where its confusing,

its an anti inflamatory, but i dont believe anywhere as potent enough to cause a problem

eat a lot of nut butters, red meats ect. and limit the use of fish oil pills but do not eliminate them. and i think you will be ok

Good to know. So far, I like Anabolic Edge, so I would hate to have to quit taking it while taking AA. I'll prob check w/ PAL and see if they have recommendations on it before I decide one way or another.

im not understanding your last paragraph , the one i bolded

are you asking if the resveratrol prevents AA from doing its job as a muscle builder?

Yes. The study says that resveratrol prevents the conversion of AA into substances that promote tumor growth. My thought is that this may be the same or a similar mechanism that AA uses to promote muscle grow...in other words, its pro-inflammatory effect.

I could be way off on this thought, but it's worth discussing, since AA is pricey enough that you want to get the maximum effect possible from it. Not taking other things that might prevent it from working as well as it can, etc.
