Ok guys.. I have been on EI for a while now and it has been ideal for my body cuz i have time and am not tired from work to work out and such. But my EI just ran out and i have decided not to go back to construction... i know that i could make probably double the money i will elseware if i go back but when i am doing that work i am always tired and to me i would rather make less at an easy job.

so i am hoping for suggestions of fun or easy jobs that you have had or do have.. or just anything that you think would be cool and not to hard... so far i have thought about Gyms and tanning salons... a daytime job is what i am looking for cuz i work 3-4 nights a week as a doorman at a night club.

I work at supplement store in the mall. Really cool 'cause I see tons of babes. Personal Training is also something that is cool if you wanna work at a gym. If you want a real easy job just do mall security

Ohh you wimp,
And your in Canada. Try working construction in Florida. Im a project manager so I dont actually perform labor required work anymore but I did for 4 years while working as a jobsite super. If the industry is anything like it is here then your right, you wont make near as much anywhere else without any further education or skills. Construction is one of the only fields that has been labeled by the government as stable for the job market. Id would really recommend saying in the field but also going to school for it to help get you out of the ditches and into an office. I make very good money and Im pretty happy with what I do but I will admit I miss being in the field some times and BSing around with the guys. Working in the office is very quiet unless its bid day and **** is hectic and you tend to lose contact with people in the field that you used to work with. It becomes more strictly business related and friendships kinda drift away. But hey, I make alot more then any of them and that keeps my wife happy too.

goodluck,

db

P.S. Everybody wanted to work at a gym some point in there life cause its got to be the easiest thing in the world to do. But it wont pay your bills, probably wont even help much towards suppos.
And I commend you on the bounceing job, I did that for about 6 yrs in Miami but it was full time and you wouldnt have enegry to work days after closeing up shop at 6am everynight. But I loved it. Bouncers get everything for free, I loved it. :D

Try to talk around to people that you know who are into businesses. You can apply your skills to them for a ultra low cost compared to that of a large biz or contractor. I'm meaning things like computer related, maintenance related, or just anything that you know how to do.

This summer, thats all I did. I got my name around first by being outgoing at people's weddings, graduation's, etc. I told them what I like to do, I'm in college, I need money, I have no time, etc. I got a lot of opportunities to to do many different things that I know a lot about. Since I took the summer off, well I only had 2 classes, I pretty much had the whole day to have my schedule open. I fixed people's computers, built people computers, hooked up networks, and if their was something I didn't know about, I would either ask one of my teachers, or find the cheapest actual business that could do it for them. That then lead to other people hearing about me and before I knew it, I had actual customers.

I also did some maintenence jobs for some people; I even framed a house.

So, try doing something along those lines, it doesn't have to be along the actual lines that I did, but anything that you know how to do. You'll be surpised.

why would it be any different in florida?? except maybe easier... here in canada i work in freezing cold in the winter and near 40 degree weather in the summer. and the labor is neverending.... which i have done for 2 years and could stay with cuz if i stay any longer i will be making 20+/hr just for a pipelayer/labor job... but as i said earlier i am notinto doing it anymore even if i take a pay cut. i am just looking for somethign to help with the bills at the moment .. not a career.

it is a pretty good job but we are only allowed to stay open till 3am here so i could still do a day job.

any other suggestions??

VG,
you forgot the comma between porn and models. I read that thing like 10 times before I actually figured it out. I thought you were saying porn stars are gay.

I'd suspect that one of the easiest professions on the planet is power engineering. There is some necessary schooling to be before getting into the profession, but once you're in it's time to kick your feet up and start brewing up the coffee.

I work twelve hour shifts, of which i usually tend to spend in the neighbourhood of 2 hours or so of actual work, and even these two hours are mainly spent walking around taking readings of various equipment. The rest of the shift is spent lounging around in our control room, reading novels, watching movies, web-browsing, etc. etc.

If trying to envision what a power engineer does, just think of Homer Simpson. Yeah, I'm a lazy bastard at work and proud of it, it leaves more energy for training intensely in the gym!
