I recall this being one of those benchmark lifts in the football combine training camps. I remember hearing about how Reggie Bush put it up something like 25 times. To be as quick and agile as him, and to be able to do that, is some serious athleticism.

I am not a fan of endurance either...unless it is called for in your sport of choice. When youre hittin big weight in the 6-10 rep range let me know(i.e. worlds strongest man athletes.)
But then again, i shouldnt talk shyt cause i can only hit it 4 1/2 times, a bit closer grip, to darn near lockout every rep.

26 is my tops, but i do it very rarely cause i don't really care for the endurance training either. I think the nfl record is 54, last I heard. i think it's kinda stupid for nfl athletes though, it's not measuring very well when leinart and jay cutler (the qb) are putting it up close to as many times as a lot of linemen

I have no idea how many times I can do it.

It is the NFL combine measure. We were talking about it at the gym and a guy I know from my gym tried it right after his 51st birthday (he does not act nor look like a typical 50 year old lol) and he did it 51 times!

Several from my gym witnessed this and it was unreal!

Flat i have never tried for more then 15, im more into heavy less reps. Last week i hit it 8 times on incline on my 4th set. I was pretty stoked, i have a bad shoalder so i tend to stay away from heavy incline bench... I usually use dumbells for incline(90-100's)..

Last time I tried I did 22 reps with no spotter. I felt I had maybe a couple more in me but you can tire quick with endurance lifting. Right now I would be lucky to do 14. I have not been lifting due to injuries for months now.

that would put your 1RM bench @ around 345/375?
am i correct?
Not exactly. When I was lifing a ton a while ago I could do 20 on a bad day and my max on that same bad day most likely would have been 335-340.

Not consecutive or even in the same day

I don't really go for reps personally. If I can finish 8 reps I use more weight the next time. Right now I can get 7 reps with 225. I have no idea what my max bench is ATM, I haven't tried to max in a few years.
