how long does it take you guys to reach a 400lbs or even 281?

i've only been lifting a few months is why i ask. there is something to be said about bodybuilding, time/dedication. you can't really buy the body, even with roids you need time/dedication. fast car/hot women/etc most in life you can get right away. damn i'm realizing how long it takes to get to heavy weights

I did 273 last night...then got cocky and decided to try 306, got about 1/3 up and then it sat on my chest...dropped one side thinking I could slip out and just couldn't do anything but yell for my 7 month pregnant wife to come and laugh at me and gimme the few pounds of pull I needed to slide it down my legs. Not fun at all, in 5 seconds I saw my ribs breaking and my lungs rupturing.
821 just ain't human. Like I always say when I hear of someone benching much more than me..."well, he must be short and have stunted arms"...just a psych defense mechanism.
Cripes, will 821 even fit on a normal bar?
