well mudvayne is still going strong they are writing a new album...so is slipknot...

so...like i know alt. metal isnt dead, avenged sevenfold is sweet too, so is bullet for my valentine, i like scream but its got to be an actual controlled scream sort of how chad does it in mudvayne or corey from slipknot...avenged sevenfold ect....i hate hardcore/screamo **** where the guy is just screaming and screaming in a high pitched voice...u know more of a grunged YELL!...

Man, I remember a while back now seeing an AHC video and lovin' it, I'm going to have to get some of their stuff.

Pantera, Meshuggah, Sikth, Nuclear Rabbit, all good stuff there.

    I like Killswitch...

CNizz...I agree with you though, the best rock did die after the 90s. Alice in Chains baby!!! Check out a band called Trivium. Thier newer stuff is pretty metallica-esque. Thier older stuff is more screaming.

But the newer bands like Hatebreed, slipknot, Killswitch and pretty good.

any new songs just recently released??
i just found Mastodon-colony of birchmen thats pretty good sounding i wont lie

like singing, but its rough almost a scream at the same time. Chad Grey does this the best i think

i've heard some killswitch engage not bad, like my favorite mudvayne song would have to be Dig, or something off L.D. 50 so its not like i dont like the screams, its just i like the scream/sing style the most

Chaimera, Meshuggah, Death Machine, Blood Simple are bands you'll like if you're into MudVayne.

Id also recommend All That Remains,Trivium, InFlames, Soilwork, As I Lay Dying for something more melodic

BoltThrower, Behemoth, Opeth are some bands to check out for a heavier, darker sound more 'brutal' sound.

    LOL...I'm guessing that's S D as in South Dakota?

Anyway, I like a lot of the stuff mentioned. Disturbed, Godsmack, Korn, Stone Sour, and Mushroomhead are good too. Stone Sour is a splinter from Slipknot, but a lot of their songs are on the mellow side. They have some pretty crazy stuff, though (I especially like "Tumult").

    Big Slipknot and Mudvayne fan.

I recommend trying Throwdown, Still Remains, All That Remains, and As I lay Dying. All very good metal bands.

The new sevendust album is good and would fit your style.

A real good metal band is Hypocrisy. Its alot heavier and darker though and oh no singing.

The new KsE (As Daylight Dies), 7-Dust (Alpha), and southern hardrock Saliva (Blood-stained Love Story) are in the Creative Zen whenever I look at iron..

Barry Manilow doesn't get me thru failure..

    Bury Your Dead.

I don't know if they are classified as metal, hard core, or metal core or whatever...but they are great for getting you amped up to lift.

Ladies and Gentlemen from the new saliva album is awesome. Check out 10,000 fist by Disturbed and Re-Align by Godsmack, both of those are drivers. I'm just glad I got these on my MP3 or else I'd be screwed. My gym was playing Phil Collins and Micheal Bolton this morning.... MICHEAL BOLTAN!!!
