I thought I would start a AnabolicMinds Olympia Road Trip thread.​

I went to one two years ago. I went to go see the guys at Avant Labs. They had a booth as well as did 1fast. I had the opportunity to meet Twin Peak, Dante, dsade, Tkarrde, Jodi, Leslie, eclypz, Par and Mike. I had a great time meeting the guys and girls of AvantLabs as well as great "family fun" in Vegas that weekend.​

My wife has a birthday on 10-13 (same as "The Red Rocker" BTW) and her grandmother lives in Vegas. I get to kill three birds with one stone when I go to the Olympia in Vegas. See grandma (my daughters great grandma), my wife loves Vegas (especially on her birthday...bonus points) and I get to see some of the guys I spend a lot of time talking BB and supplements with on-line.​

It would be cool if we could get more guys from the board to join in on the road trip. We could support Designer Supplements by visiting their booth and we could also further develop the on-line relationships we have here as AnabolicMinds board members. So I thought I would open this thread and provide some general information (posted below) regarding the show and venue. I will be getting my plans in place in the next few weeks and will update on when I am driving up, where I am staying and what not. I usually go budget unless my Vegas Grandma comps me at some casino hotel.​

• [size=+1]1:00pm Olympia Press Conference[/size] A chance to meet all of the competitors of all four events, and a chance to ask your favorite bodybuilder or fitness competitor questions. This event is usually packed, so come early! At the Orleans Hotel, Free to the Public
• [size=+1]7:00pm Meet the Olympians[/size] Come say hello to the Olympians at the Orleans Hotel from 7 - 10pm. VIP Ticketholders only from 7 - 8 pm. After 8pm, the event is free to the public.

[size=+1]Friday, October 14[/size]

• [size=+1]9:00am Olympia Expo[/size] Hundreds of exhibiters show off the latest sports nutrition products, where you can get tons of samples, great prices, and see fitness and bodybuilder competitors where they will sign autographs. This event is located at the Las Vegas Covention Center. The expo is open from 9am to 10:30am to industry professionals only. After 10:30am, it is open to the general public, and will close to 6pm.
• [size=+1]11:00am Women's Prejudging Competitions[/size] Located in the Las Vegas Convention Center stage, prejuding will include Fitness round one and two, Figure round one, Womens bodybuilding round one and two.
• [size=+1]7:00 Figure, Fitness & Ms. Olympia Finals[/size] The contests begins at 7:00pm at the Orleans Arena, where the best of the best in fitness and women's bodybuilding battle it out.

• [size=+1]9:00am Olympia Expo[/size] Hundreds of exhibiters show off the latest sports nutrition products, where you can get tons of samples, great prices, and see fitness and bodybuilder competitors where they will sign autographs. • [size=+1]12:00pm Mr. Olympia Prejudging[/size] The event begins at noon at the Orleans Arena. This is where you compare the best of the best in men's bodybuilding. Tickets are $50.
• [size=+1]6:45pm Mr. Olympia Finals[/size] The Finals begin at 6:45pm at the Orlenas Arena. This bodybuilding contest is the king of all contests, where the best will be crowned.
• [size=+1]10:00pm Olympia Victory Party[/size] After the Mr. Olympia finals, at 10pm, in one of the new ballrooms at the Orleans Arena, where you can have a good time. VIP Ticketholders attend at no charge. For non-VIP ticketholders, there will be an admission.
• [size=+1]After Hours Party[/size] There will be various parties, which will be announced as info comes up.

• [size=+1]10:00am Olympia Seminar[/size] The competitors recount their feelings and experiences of the weekend. This event is from 10am to 12am.

Hmmm...I may be able to do this. It's only about a 5-6 hour drive, but my wife an I have been wanting to go back to Vegas. I'm going to have to talk it over with her and see if we can get the time off together. Sounds like a good plan B! Well then, I'll have to send my share to size. I am allergic to alcohol. Every time I drink it I break out in handCuffs. Seriously.:sad:

But I can still enjoy myself without it. I do like a nice cigar

Yes, it is good to know that you are headed up there. I'm not much for the comp's nor the $$ that it costs to see one. I do enjoy the expo, just for the sake of meeting up with the DS guys (and possibly other retailers that I may frequent) and am hoping that other AM members will be joining us. After all parties post their intentions of going we can get to the "hookin' up plans", whether they be at the expo, DS booth or a locale TBD

I am disappointed to say that I will be unable to attend.

I have a lingering personal matter that is finally getting the attention of the appropriate parties. It is proof that it is indeed who you know and what you are willing to pay to have them represent you. I have a preliminary hearing to attend Friday followed by the formal hearing on Monday. I have waited 6 months for this and I just cannot postpone this another minute.
