Knee Drainage

Had acl meniscus surgery two weeks ago. Just had post op Friday and doc said he might have to drain next week because fluid.. heard from close sources its very painful which isn't comforting. Anyone with experience ?

I've had my knee drained before. One time all good, no pain at all. Second time doc nicked a bone and that definitely hurt

Lovely.. haha well I gotta do it regardless but hopefully he makes it bearable. I can't really imagine that much pain because the area is swollen so it's kind of numb to a degree

I've had mine drained a few times(both knees). It does kind of suck but feels WAY better with the fluid out.

It's gna hurt. Do a solid and take your NSAIDs and ice more. No excuses just do it. Hopefully they won't need to move the needle around within the knee joint to reach other pockets of fluid. Best of luck!
