I wasn't sure were to post this, so this seemed like the best place.

I don't know how many of you know who Tucker Max is, but his website message boards are full of, generally, very intelligent people who love discussing issues from the news and other topics. I enjoy reading them because it is generally a good read... but today was different. The first thread on Steroids was started ( http://messageboard.tuckermax.com/showthread.php?p=74245#post74245 ) and I think it goes without saying what is going on in the thread. Generally very intelligent people who are extremely uninformed. Most of these people are alcoholics, but don't touch steroids because you will die!

I posted this because I'm calling the intelligent members here at AM.com to register and help enlighten them. This, most likely, will be different because these aren't a bunch of uneducated children, they are college students, grad students, successful adults... People that would actually listen and debate a topic.

Thanks

omg, listen to what this one guy on that site said:

"Creatine gives you man-tits, and like most steroids, once the testosterone levels in your body go through the fucking roof (tufts of ape hair and backne, anyone?) your estrogen level soars to keep pace. Once your testosterone level crashes, you practically turn into a woman."

That post did really piss me off. Weirdly enough one of the board regulars actually came out and said it was BS and helped my argument a bit. Odd to find a shred of common sense on those boards.

Guess that puts it out in the open, I'm Harvest. Though, I'm done posting there. If one of you wants to take up the challenge, you're more than welcome to it. It's not like it's even a debate with point and counterpoint, the morons just keep repeating the same **** over and over again, and then accuse you of wanting kids to do steroids. Hopelessly ignorant idiots, probably not worth the time it takes even if one or two of them might read the thread and think a little more deeply about the subject.

This is exactly what we don't want to do. They only know what they have been taught by 99% of the media and the population.
i just don't believe we need to get upset over it. I don't believe it's our job to spread the truth on anabolics. You'll never see the day when the media does a 180 on steroids, marijuana, or any other illicit drug for that matter. Let them believe what they want, let them have their filthy lifestyle and 43inch waist.

what is the point of spreading the truth on steroids? We know the truth, and it work for us. If steroids are seen in a good light then 15 year olds are going to start using. and yes, there is a problem with that. These are dangerous compounds and America is full of idiots who want to use them.

with that said, I believe they should be legal, and I'm willing to fight for the supplements that are currently legal. But the truth spreading for stuff that is already illegal (weed, steroids, etc.) isn't something that is realistic in my book.

maybe im wrong...
maybe im not part of the cause - but I'm not really seeing the point. Ideally, I want a libertarian American - less taxes, less socialism, less parental government. but it's not happening...

Whats ironic about Tuckermax.com is that they talk about internal damage where the site is oriented around getting smashed and fucking random people.

I am willing to fight (like literally, I will go knock out a congressman or something) for the supplements that we have now. I can't imagine people that use AAS having to go to a doctor to get some Milk Thistle for their livers. Or my father having to go to the doctor to get some Glucosamine. i want my damn multivitamin everyday! It's a joke what they're planning on doing.

point 1: does ANYONE know when this supplement ban is going to go into place?

point 2: what can we do to stop it? We all really need to fight and spend some serious time working to keep our rights!

The supplement companies have millions to fight congress when it finally goes down. Congress will spend our money to try and make this stuff illegal. what a world we live in.

Good luck to congress trying enforce Vitamin C by Rx only. Not going to happen...

i see what you are saying, but I still have faith in the American people, not always the American government. It is the people that make this country the best in the world - not the handful of assholes on capital hill.

Although blitzed with leftist propaganda, I still believe Americans reject socialism when they smell it. I worry about my generation though - but the older Americans get it. The government will have a hard time taking supplements from retired Americans - mark my words.

Most kids grow up liberal but mature into conservatives. This is backed by many a study. They have that pie in the sky idealism and then when they face the real world, they quickly change their tune. As for complete supplement bans, most people take some type of vitamin and will object if they have to pay high amounts for buying Pfizer brand multis for example. It won't happen for a while but I'm sure it will eventually. Maybe 10-15 years.

Nope, supplement use is growing and the more people keep using supps the tougher it's gonna get, the longer we go w/out a ban the tougher it's gonna get for politicians to ban supps IMO, but I could be too optimistic so don't take my word for it

they start to pay real taxes, and become financially independent too ;) They find out the liberals want to save the world by taking their money.
