Accomplishments.

Other happiness stimulating things ie. food, sex, alcohol, etc. only last as long as the taste/buzz is there, short-lived bouts of enjoyment are good but incomparable to the long lasting feeling if pride and accomplishment you get from reaching a goal.

Maybe it is a PR, attaining a degree, losing weight, winning an event. At any time you can reflect upon the accomplishment and feel better about yourself.

I am a better person for having lost 100 lbs. and no longer being obese

I am married to the woman if my dreams

I have had writing published

These are things that can always make me happy to remember.

But really biggest thing is friends and family supporting my goals. Accomplishment of said goals is huge as well. Hunting and fishing always puts a good grin on my face as well.

Lol interesting topic. Happiness is something you have to be willing to accept before you can actually experience it. If you are not willing to be happy then there is nothing in the world that will make you happy, only you can make yourself happy. For me happiness is the ongoing pursuit of something better, whether it be fitness, finances or just being a better person in general. Just to be able to keep trying for something better is what keeps me happy and going strong.
