ACL replacement

I had my ACL replaced September 9th. I am an active duty marine stationed at good ole 29 palms, trying to fight to get back in shape so I can stay in. I have since then gained about 20 pounds. I currently weigh 195 and am looking to lose quick soon and in a hurry... only problem is that I still am not able to do serious cardio still due to limitations from my injury. Just started getting back in the gym last week. What should I do in order to regain my muscle mass and lose my oh so wonderful "love handles"?

First of all Semper Fi. Secondly what have you been cleared to do PT wise? What in the gym is good to go? What kind of cardio equipment? Do you live in the bricks or are yoh out in town?

Yut. I'm out in town. Still not technically cleared to do anything besides walking. Have been doing oliptical, bike, anything low impact on my knee. Started lifting again, just no legs. So pretty much just baby steps for the time being ha.

Well a lot of it will be diet then. Whats your diet looking like?
