Just wanted to drop a few lines in here to let everyone who didn't already know that today is autism awareness day, and the month of April is Autism awareness month!! So, be aware!
My daughter has Aspergers so this issue hits close to home. The general public is very much in the dark about the wide variety of these disorders, and it is now believed that autism affects 1 in 88 children. Educating the public about tolerance and acceptance of these disorders will help the kids and adults affected to live better lives.
Lets do out part, find out what you can do to help in your neighborhood. Even something as simple as a Facebook post or a Tweet could possibly help someone.
Also, today is "light it up blue!" day. Go buy yourself a blue lightbulb for outside your house to leave up for the month of April.
