It's the scene I grew up in, Boston to be specific. I was fortunate enough to have cousins who dragged me to shows at a young age, so I got to see some of my favorite bands before they broke up. YOT, Judge, Slapshot (first lineup or two-- probably my favorite band of all time), etc.

We had a thread like this a while back, turned into more of a discussion of newer bands, but I dig the classics.

Just got done unloading some ancient (DYS, SSD, Negative Approach, etc.) vinyl on eBay...sigh...the realities of home ownership and a nagging female do things to one's collection of dusty old records....

BTW I love the avatar! The ORIGINAL 'fits are definitely among my favorites as well...

I was in a band that tried to breathe some life into that style, back a looooong time ago, nowadays my friend Shawn has a band called Refuse Resist and they are keeping the spirit alive thus far...just signed to Rodent Popsicle and did a small tour...if you like old NYHC/BHC, you have to check them out...
