Deleted a thread from my subscriptions, but I still get a notification for each post

I replied to a big and busy thread, but I then deleted it from my subscriptions so I wouldn't get spammed with notifications from it every time somebody posted. However, I'm still getting the little red "1" for every new reply - is there a way to turn this off, or am I just screwed now that I've posted in the thread?

Because that tells you when someone posted in a thread you posted in, not subscribed too. Whats the thread?
