Pure Oxygen for a boost of energy, vitality and stamina

I have always wondered how having a sourse of pure oxygen durring gym sessions would help. I've looked for a supplement that would help me use oxygen more effeciently, but have yety to find what I was looking for.

Anyways, while browsing ebay, I came accross this:
Every part of your body and mind craves oxygen. Oxygen is a vital source of energy, alertness, stamina, and a sense of well being. With every use, you get a boost of 95% natural, pure, clean oxygen. Almost immediately, you’ll feel invigorated, revived, spirited, with a sharp, clear mind.

Energize and Revitalize. Just take three deep breaths of pure oxygen and you’ll…

    · Get a boost of natural energy for vigorous work outs or sporting activities.

    · Enjoy increased vitality, stamina and alertness during work.

    · Relieve stress and anxiety with a refreshed mind and relaxed spirit.

    · End fatigue and tiredness with revitalizing, spirited oxygen energy

    · Rejuvenate yourself after long flights, long meetings or long road trips.

    · Jump start yourself naturally on groggy, foggy, draggy mornings.

    · Help cleanse your system from smog, exhaust, pollution or dirty air.

    · Liven up again after long nights or long parties

Easy and quick to use. Just turn the top with your thumb, place the opening in or near your mouth and inhale deeply for one to three seconds. One canister holds enough oxygen for 30 to 50 uses. The POD is not for medical uses.

lol- Ive also heard of takign "shots" of oxygen to releive hangovers..

Does anyone have expirence with using something like this??

I'm thinking it would be of great help w heavy squats, becasue I can take forever sometimes to regain breathing..

Ever heard of oxygen bars? An early 00s fad, I'm not sure how popular they are anymore. I've never been to one, but the premise is people hanging out taking in oxygen for its effects, much like you would find people doing with alcohol in a regular bar.

I have to laugh at the idea of dragging an o2 bottle to the gym though!

    Have you tried cordyceps?

I do not beleive I have.

I see football players hitting the Oxy when on the sidelines..\

The container I saw was only maybe 5 inches tall. Nothing I couldn't have in my pocket.
I think there would be a more noticable difference between sitting at a bar, where oxygen demand is stable, as opposed to after a hardcore set of squats though...

Cordyceps sinensis- and Rhodiola rosea-based supplementation in male cyclists and its effect on muscle tissue oxygen saturation.

Cordyceps sinensis (Cs) and Rhodiola rosea (Rr) are herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat a multitude of ailments as well as to enhance performance. The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of a formula containing Cs and Rr (Cs-Rr) on circulatory dynamics, specifically muscle tissue oxygen saturation (Sto(2)), in male subjects during maximal exercise. This study followed a double blind, randomized, placebo-treatment, pre-post test design. Capsules were administered to 8 subjects who were randomly assigned to 1 of 2 groups. The treatment group received Cs-Rr, and the control group received a placebo. All subjects performed 2 exercise stress tests to volitional fatigue on a cycle load ergometer. There were no significant (p </= 0.05) differences in Sto(2) slope, Sto(2) threshold (Sto(2T)), Vo(2)max, ventilatory threshold (V(T)), or time to exhaustion (T(E)) between or within the treatment or control group. In conclusion, Cs-Rr did not significantly enhance Sto(2).

Would you recommend this for cardio sessions? I was thinking about how this could potentially extend sprint sessions by a few more rounds. How cool would that be!

I'd be worried about dependencies though, whether it be pyschological or even physical. Once you get accustomed to it, it would be rough to go about cardio without it I'd assume.

Have you used that before? Or has anyone else for cardio?

I would think it would be like using anything (creatine ect).
I am going to give this a try.

I remember watching a program on nanotechnology (that I may have posted here) that talked about creating red blood cells, or things that would act like them, and how relitivly ineffeciently we use oxygen..

I would thingk that EVERY area of performance could be improved upon if we could bump up the effeciency some..
Fat loss, endurrnece ,strength, recovery, sleep,..

time to do a lil research

Probably does work to some extent, probably not worth it looking at the cost benefit ratio. Pro-athletes need any extra edge they can get. If you got everything else you need and can still afford a lot of these stuff I say try it and tell us how it goes?

I have not used it before, to me it does seem to have some capabilities within scientific talk about extra 02 and energy. I just pop in Nadh for a extra boost.

I know cordyceps helps me BIG time. Probably the most underrated supplement out there. Combine that with some Rhodiola and you have yourself an amazing combo.

This obviously isn't as efficient as an oxygen tank, but supplement-wise it is the best you can get. And I can notice a drastic difference.

Well, if you were inhaling pure oxygen there might be some free radical issues cropping up.

I tried Cordyceps from a sponsor here. Thought I had more energy the first few days and then nothing no matter what the dose.

I like Rhodiola as a long-term general supplement. I use to buy it as a bulk herb and grind it up. Is this a good way to take it (i.e. whole plant) or do I need an extract?

By-the-way the study I posted 7 posts up wasn't favorable.

I've always been interested in it too. I found two cans for $29 A.T.D. 95/5 02/N POD brand, I'll write a review after 5 days of use.

Conte said he had athletes on it during the off-season when they were lifting weights and getting stronger. So maybe...

"EPO it isn't just for breakfast anymore."

"EPO! Its whats on your table."
