Effects of the body's natural homeostasis with the use of protein supplements

Does anyone know if there is a way to scientifically measure the body's natural homeostasis in the muscle versus it's homeostasis with the use of protein supplements pre/post workout?

Homeostasis as in what? Ion concentration/pH, temperature, the sarcolemma integrity?

Classic studies have looked at nitrogen balance with and without a protein supplement following weight training.

there are a few studies looking at protein synthesis while using a protein supplement either pre workout or post. But not exactly sure where your going with the question
