I want a blood test done: how do I prepare?

If I want to have a blood test tomorrow, what should I do to ensure it's possible?
I'm thinking of things like fasting 12 hours before etc... Is this right or is there anything else I need to do to make sure they can take a sample there and then?

The types of things I'll probably want checked:

Testosterone, STDs, cholesterol, glucose and WBCs.

    Thanks guys

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Looks like a 12h fast is all that's needed - thanks!
