Are you planning to binge and splurge on this trip? If so and you want some pre-meditated damage control, run full dose for 1.5 weeks (11 days) starting today. Take electrolytes from the get-go.
For 3 days, take half dose, and then for 5 days take nadda. This shouldn't get the water retention too high, and when you come off, should dissipate relatively quickly for the 26th.
I say "should". If you notice obscene water retention, reduce dose earlier and spend more time off it.

Thanks Rob. I bought some Pedialyte last night. That is the stuff they give babies who are dehydrated from diarrhea. I think you reccommend that, no?

If you can afford it, I imagine pedialyte to be fantastic.

I've been using a product called Gastrolyte myself for the past week. I found it to be more economical than pedialyte. Only problem is the inherent saltiness of the product, as it makes me want to gag. And that's the fruit flavoured version. I would imagine the unflavoured version to be even worse.

I'm not sure how much Pedialyte to take. It says for babies to take 1-2 liters per day. I think it is a 2 liter jug. That will get expensive.
We;re did you get the gastrolyte stuff?

I bought it at a pharmacy. It seems most places carry it behind the counter for some reason. I just asked what was available for electrolyte replacement and gastrolyte was what was recommended.
