It is just a rumor on message boards (started by an A.X. rep) of another ban.

We will have to see what our gov't thinks is best for us. Oh well. It worked well in prohibition.

"I am not the preacher type, in the traditional sense. I would rather consider myself a living testimony. Many preach and you can tell that it is hearsay. I share my experience and testimony. If it speaks to and reaches one person of the power of God to restore the broken, deliver the imprisoned, find the lost, and heal the sickly...praise God." B5150, a good 3 or 4 years back.

I've spent nights working in the ER and in the inpatient/outpatient setting....if the gov't wanted to "save kids," prohibition would be better than a steroid ban.......at least you'd be able to pick up D-bol at 7-11 and drink Mountain Dew flavored M1T without slamming your car into a tree or an innocent family.

Too bad the alcohol industry has a good lobby and donates millions to the republicans and democrats.

It's even easier for kids in highschool to obtain hard drugs than to obtain alcohol in most cases. Thus proving the prohibition only makes things worse. Were it merely controlled, kids wouldn't be able to get the stuff as easily.

The only reason they can get alcohol tat easy has to do with proliferation of alcohol consumption in general. Not as many folks like hard drugs. Were there no black market for it, the availability for kids would drop considerably low.

Personally, I think the increase in DUI accidents every year is more a testament to our society's continued avoidance of personal responsibility more than anything else. If children were not just taught but SHOWN personal responsibility by EXAMPLE, they would know:

1) When to stop
2) When they are not ok to drive
3) That driving under the influence is one of the single dumbest things you can ever do

I was taught personal responsibility, and I make a point to not drive if I have had more than 2 drinks. If I have exactly 2 drinks, I wait at least 2 hours before driving. If I have 1 drink I know I am fine. Also I let all my friends know that if they are drunk somewhere, they can call me and if I am able I'll pick them up. If not, at the very least I'll call them a cab.

Unfortunately, personal responsibility is near dead in this country.

I think it's also about the billions in tax revenue that alcohol produces, and the thousands upon thousands of jobs that prohibition would cost.

I completely agree. Everyone in this country wants to point fingers at someone else when they screw up. Parents do it for their kids. It's the teacher's fault the kid got a bad grade. It's the coach's fault the kid struck out. It's the boy's fault that the girl got pregnant. It goes on and on.

Even the **** with Hurricane Katrina showed this trend. The mayor of New Orleans was more at fault than anyone else. What did he do? Started jumping up and down and screaming about how the feds weren't doing their job.

Are you saying there is not going to be a ban? Or that those two products will not be included?
