Melting Point Dosage

I am looking for some feedback in dosage.

Please ONLY post here if you have or are using MP.

I want to know 3 things.

1) Your dosage.

2) Your weight.

3) How much, if any, fat loss you would attribute soley to the MP per week. (In other words, if you were eating at maintenance, and lost one pound, you would attribute one pound. If you expected to lose 1 pound based on your diet, and you lost 2 pounds...you get the point.

1. I'm taking 8 caps per day.

2. I'm at 247. I started at 260.

3. I can not tell you my "fat loss," but I have lost 13 pounds of "weight," in three weeks so far. I'm at a 1000 cal per day deficit, and would expect to have only lost six pounds thus far. This week, I have only lost three pounds, which is better than dieting alone, but I really can't explain the "super" weight loss during my first two weeks.

Update: 7/25/05 I'm up 1lb in the past 3 days, but according to my trainer, in the past 2 weeks, I've lost 9 pounds of fat, and gained 2 pounds of muscle. The numbers may not be exact, but my measurements indicate that the weight that I'm losing is fat, and not muscle. Robboe's suggestion of adding LX + GXR + RXT to the MP seems to be working.

1. Six a day split

2. I think I started at 225, now at around 220, will weight in tomorrow morning.

3. Lost around 5lbs total, so average weight loss for about 2lbs per week. Eating maintaince.

3) I seemed to be leaner at the end of last week. I got comments that I looked smaller. I think I may have been deflated though. I pretty much blew my cut at the first of the second week and stopped using MP. I used for about 11 days I think.

Started at the recommended 2x2 split/day, upped it after 2 weeks to 2capsx3/day, and just this week raised it to 2capsx4/day.

Weight: 240.

Didn't notice any effects at 4 caps/day. Slight effects at 6caps/day but not anything great.
At 8 caps/day for the 3 days I have taken it so far, there seems to be a real good effect and am noticably leaner in just those 3 days.

Diet is ~750 under maintenance.

Don't know actual fat loss totals as I am using 2 other fat loss products but also ran them when I started at 4 caps.

I am not normally a poor responder at normal doses for fat burners.

Given that 6-8 caps is an appropriate daily dose, and Sledge has always aimed for a months worth of capsules in a bottle of his products, will the final version of melting point contain an adjusted amount of capsules per bottle to reflect this? I see on the website that there is currently 120 capsules per bottle, which obviously only allows for 4 caps per day if the bottle is to last one full month.

However, given the higher dose seen in the above users, most of the members who have posted are above 200 pounds. Is melting point likely to be a product which is going to require higher dosing in heavier individuals in order to garner the desired results?

is it my imagination, or have we really *NOT* had much of a report from the alpha-testers on *their* results?

IIRC, their target in terms of result was 'an extra pound of fat per week'. Overall, that seems to be the result, but not everyone seems to think it's that significant; impressed or not, I suspect that if most people DO lose a pound a week on it, DS will be quite satisfied - in which case, I doubt they'll change anything.

I'm sure that with such a new product, an increased amount per bottle would mean a bigger price.

OT - anyone heard from Sledge?

That is the point of this thread - to determine whether we need to adjust the dose per cap.

Thats my concern as well. I would seriously consider this product if I know that a bottle covered a month.

We are looking into (1) the necessity of an increased dosage and (2) the feasibility of it. The final version is not capped yet. This is not (yet) an inexpensive product to make.

3) Nothing...I won't go into details or anything because I still have about a week left and I'll post a final review in my thread then.

On a side note...I'm glad we got to spend $55 to be guinea pigs on the dosing of the product. I realize we are beta testing this, but it still kind of erks me. Nevertheless I still love DS.

Exactly. That is the whole point of a beta sale. We did some prelim alpha testing and that is how we came up with the dose. The point of the beta sale is to confirm and/or refine that.

That is what happens with innovation.

Also, we made clear at the outset with this product that we were not sure of the exact dosing.

2. 178-180 lb

3. Was cutting for 3 weeks before started MP, didn't see any extra boost, but I'm non-responder to a lot of supps.

1. 4 caps for the first 1 1/2 weeks, 6 the last 1 1/2 weeks

2. Started at 198, now at 194.5

3. I don' t think I have really seen anything from it. I was aiming for 1 lb per week, and that is what I got. My max strength has not dropped, but I have been wearing out about 2 sets per bodypart faster since upping the dose to 6 caps. I will up the dose to 8 caps tomorrow and report back when they are gone.

1) 4 caps per days for 1 week, then 6 caps per day. I think I'm approaching 2 weeks on 6 caps.

2) 151.2lbs, now 154lbs.

3) I'm on a bulk at the moment, about 500cals surplus, sometimes more. No strictly clean, but no eating junk either. Doing sprints only 1xpw and weight training 3xpw.

As far as I can tell, waistline has maye got a smidgen wider. Depends, some days it's just as when I was at 151.2lbs. However. I should mention I'm also using Lean Extreme and and GXR.

6 caps a day

started at 242 - down 27lbs to 215

I contribute no weight loss to melting point as I am on bobo's cutting program and this hasn't changed my average 2lbs lost a week - was dieting for 10 weeks without any supps and the past 4 weeks I have seen no "extra" accelerated fat loss due to this supp - most likely from under dosing - Currently starting week 15 of dieting and almost ready for 2nd bottle, may up the dosage to 8.

All I know is when I go above 6 caps that's when I get the horrible cramps in my calves and triceps so I could only imagine going to 10 or 20

found out today the cramps are from low electrolytes & general dehydration
(and yes, that messes up the xalcium-ion pump)

was told Gatorade won't cut it w/ this level of depletion,
so be warned & play safe!

I was wondering why I was cramping up all the time. Ecspecially my calves..it didn't even cross my mind that MP would contribute, but that's when they started...
