Before I say anything else, let me say that I don't do this for a living (yet), I could be wrong, and I hope others will leap in to correct me if I'm way off base. Okay: stop taking fat-loss supplements: you're just throwing your money away, because your problem is your diet. You're working a physically demanding job, but you're eating almost nothing. 1000 kcal/day is insignificant compared to what your body needs to keep up w/ your job (we'll leave training out of it for the moment). A rough conservative estimate is that you need ~2500 calories ED to maintain your weight: 2000 would probably be a sensible & effective cutting diet, but you've cut THAT in half - your body is almost certainly committed to a starvation response, which means you won't lose an ounce no matter what you do - until your body begins to break itself down to make up for the food you aren't giving it. taking fat-loss supps will worsen this condition. you say you're working 3 jobs, one of them is 40 hours of landscaping? how much sleep are you getting? what are your other jobs like? save your supps; eat more (and clean), get good sleep. If you can't lose fat without supps, you won't lose fat safely with them. With your landscaping job, you'd be pretty ripped by now if you were eating smart & getting enough rest. just my opinion.

| Gold Member | I've noticed results, although not on the level I had hoped for. However, my hopes were probably unreasonable. I'm taking 6 caps per day. I've gotten the fish oil burps. I've also had unbelievably noxious farts. Anybody else experiencing this? /karp |

| Registered User | I get noxious farts from Creatine so if i get it again with MP it'll be no suprise. I'll just have to remember to not take any if i'm going out on the pull. I'm bad enough at it as it is let alone having a 20 ft cloud round me at all times. On an unrelated note, i'm currently using CEE and when i use it at the recommended dosage (8 pills) i get diahrea a couple of hours later, if i lower this to 6 Pills however i just get the wind. Would it be fair to assume that the extra 2 pills are not being absorbed, hence the diahrea and therefore i can save money by only taking 6 on workout days? |

| Board Supporter | the numbers look pretty good to me. if you add the top two together, that's a quarter of the respondents. When you consider that close to 2/3s of the people responding hadn't even had a chance to use it but just wanted to see the poll results, that's pretty good. There's also some evidence to support that the suggested initial doseage may be a little low for a fair number of people. Not to sound like a DS shill, but I am impressed with the products I've tried thus far and I've been treated quite well and patiently wrt email questions I've bugged Robboe with...so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Hell, even injectable Test takes a couple of weeks to really kick in. |

I hear what you are saying, Please do not think of me as a novice though... When i have an easier schedule, I spend a lot of time reading and studying diet </SPAN>and supplementation, also I recently graduated with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I do lik som of your advice though...and its one thing to know something and another to apply it. I believe I stated in my first post that I re-feed on Sundays , but I may not have, so just to make it clear ,I do. I think its also important to take into account one's phenotype. I am an endomorph tried and true(which I know I did not mention before). In fact when I was fifteen I was 230lbs.So as you can see I struggle with fat gain and fat loss. To be fair, I did give a 1000 calorie range. I believe 1500-1800calores a day isn't too horrible for fat loss. I do see your point though, with Leptin levels, stress response etc . I do not however see the fat loss supplements as worthless, since they do all wn true;">ork </SPAN>on seperate pathways for the most part. Since many help aid lipolysis it would seem a good combo with my job which could be thought of as cardio(my other jobs are both bartending). I do need to get my diet and training in better order though I definitely agree there. Its all about putting knowledge to practice.

Results: Not what I was expecting (expectations were obviously too high) but I'm not going to complain either. Solid with diet and exercise which is good enough for me. Seems really good at controlling my usually high blood pressure too ![]()

| Board Supporter | J-1, what dose were you running? I've found that with some stuff I've had to up the dose substantially to see any effect. I fully expect to be dosing somewhere approaching double the recommended amount. |

| Gold Member | At 8 caps per day, plus 3 caps RXT, 3 caps LX plus a couple caps of GXR at night, I've lost weight like crazy. I haven't really noticed any "sides" except today, when I felt warm at work, although it was only 72 degrees. I have taken my temperature every day, and it has not increased at all. There has been no significant change in my blood pressure. I have no idea how sustainable my rate of weight loss will be, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. As of yesterday, I was down about 10 pounds in 16 days, which seems just crazy. So, 10 down, 20 to go. When I lose another 10 pounds, I'll cast my vote for MP being a "solid product." Two weeks is just too short to evaluate this product, and just because it works for me, doesn't guarantee that it will work for everybody. As a side note, I really don't understand why anybody would try to lose weight, yet keep their calories, and exercise the same. If you're serious about losing weight, write up a meal plan, and stick to it. Measure your food, count your calories, exercise, and make it happen. There is a really good computer program for helping people count calories, available at: http://www.calorieking.com/software/ It's not perfect, but it's the best that I've found, and worth the $30 they charge for it. Best of luck to all you MP beta users. Last edited by TINYTOAD : 07-19-2005 at 10:38 AM. |

| Grouch Member | Even though I already voted on this poll (no comment - cause I hadn't tried MP yet) I was wondering, isn't it still a bit too soon to really be gauging effectiveness of this product? I mean the beta testers have only had the first batch for what - almost 3 weeks now? Plus most of the threads I've read on it had people that either weren't really dieting/cutting or going on flat-out eating binges. As someone already mentioned earlier, I think we need to see some feedback from people using it for true cutting purposes and with longer term usage (>1 month). Just my .02 BP |
