I’ve decided to log the current blast I am on, I hope I can bring some anecdotal info to you guys and pack on some muscle in the process.

I have done my share of logs in the past, I frequented this board a lot back in the day. My experience has been starting with the mild dhea probormones to taking most of the designer steroids of the time. I ran epistane, hdrol, pheraplex, superdrol, and xtren... all without a test base. I then finally ran a couple testosterone+oral kickstart cycles.

At that point i had a kid and took some time off the gym and lost a bunch of gains. I also realized I had pretty much tanked my natural test. Not so bad as I couldn’t have kids, I have two healthy boys now... but after my second son I hopped on blast and cruise and feel a whole lot better than the previous 2-3 years. I have blasted and cruised for almost a year now. I’m starting my second blast, which will be this log.

Height: 6’
Starting weight: 218
Starting bf%: 10-12%

I decided that I wanted to run compounds that would be synergistic, not nandrolones, and have an ester that caused them to peak at different times through the blast. My goal is a clean bulk of a solid 10-15 lbs slow and steady. I don’t want to bloat much, I want minimal fat gain.

I workout 3 days on 1 day off.


Blast length: 20 weeks

Test base: sustanon 250 - 750mg/wk - 20weeks

Kickstart: Dianabol - 50mg/day - 4 weeks

Anabolic1- dihydroboldenone (1-testosterone cypionate) - 400mg/wk bump to 500mg/wk between weeks 6-8. Will play by ear and run between 12-14 weeks.

Anabolic2- Boldenone undecylenate- 600mg/wk - 20 weeks.

My basic idea for the cycle is to have each compound kick in as the previous compound should be plateauing. I think this cycle is a food friendly cycle, some steroids kill my appetite, but I think these should help me get all the nutrients in that I will be needing to make gains at my age. Strength has become a secondary goal to aesthetics.

Looking forward to seeing who comes along for the ride. I am currently 3 weeks in an up about 5 lbs and lean. I’ll post some pictures tomorrow since the pictures up on my avitar are probably 8 years old. Got legs tomorrow. Gym in the morning. ?

One thing that is new to this blast is not how often I have to pin, as I am used to pinning frequently, but how much I have to pin this blast compared to previous blasts. I’ve always chosen to pin little amounts more often than large amounts less often. This time, I have to pin 2cc almost every day because the DHB is 100mg/ml. So that’s 4cc dhb, 3cc test, 2 cc bold. I will wind up adding another cc of dhb per week in a few weeks. All this pinning has made me think about possibly pinning some sites like my chest or my last. I never have ventured from the gyres/delta/quads z track method. If any of you have experience and advice I’m all ears.

Ive recently started pecs. Still freaks me out a little bit, esp cos I find my skin there quite thick and resilient to the needle prick; I have to push the pin quite firmly to pierce the skin. To help me feel more comfortable, I cross my arm over my torso where my hand reaches my hip on the opposite side. This bunches the pec area up nicely, but just have to be careful the muscle doesnt tense.

Have you noticed any added growth from the oil being in the pec? Have you ever pinned your lats?

I’m in - the DHB interests me a lot. Test e bloats the hell outta me so looking at EQ my next cycle.

Glad to have you guys following along.

Today was leg day. Had a really good workout, felt strong and actually hit a PR for me on squats so thats had me in high spirits all day.

Legs
Squats - 185x10, 225x12, 315x9, 365x4, 405x2 (PR) drop set to 315x4.
Straight leg deadlift- 95x20, 135x10, 135x10, 225x10, 225x10. Back pumps started bothering me at this point.
Hack squat- 4 sets of 10, 1 set of 8 -Started at 1 plate a side, added a plate each set until I failed to hit 10 reps at 5 plates a side.
Quad extension- the machine at my gym has no weight on the plates, just ascending numbers. Started on 2nd plate and did 20 reps. Added a plate and did 20 reps until I hit failure before 20 reps. At that point I continued to add a plate per set, with 10 rep sets. Failed on 9th plate. No actual idea how much each weighs.

Shoulders

Standing military press superset with dumbell lateral raises.

Arnold press superset with dumbell front raises.

Cable upright row superset with rear dumbell flyes.

I started writing out my numbers but it’s time consuming and I don’t see why it really matters. I’ll let you guys know if I hit PRs. Otherwise like I said earlier, this is more about aesthetics than strength for me. I was just feeling a little froggy with the squats today.

Notes: my DHB gives me a smell/taste that I notice post injection for a while. Tren ace did this to me as well but the tren tasted metallic, and the DHB is more sweet and perfume-like. Every time I pin it (4x a week) I get this smell/taste. Kinda an interesting side effect both tren and DHB have had for me.

No side effects other than back pumps to note. A couple injections of DHB have had pip, others havent. Comparable to some of the rougher propionate or tren ace I have pinned. No pain upon inject, but a few knots, almost always in my quadriceps a few days later. May just try to avoid putting dhb in my quad. Thoughts?

These are during week 3. I was a little leaner and about 5lbs lighter at the beginning of this blast. Currently sitting at 6’ 223lbs... not sure of bf%.

This is the best representation I currently have of my physique until I can get my wife to take some photos of me... she likes to make fun of me throughout the process����... so I usually only do it once or twice a log. May update with a self shot picture more often.

Chest Day. Beginning of week 4. Looking fuller by the day. Didn’t weigh in today. My muscles look very round at the moment, it’s definitely a different look than I had this summer when I was dieting down and running tren. I don’t feel like I’m gaining much in the way of body fat, but I am not nearly as dry as I was. No estrogen issues for me, I take 12.5mg exmestane every third day, this seems to work for me as I am not prone to estrogen issues compared to some.

Did chest today. Had a good workout. Worked up to 315 on the bench and got a solid 4 reps which is about as good as it gets for me. Did some dumbell work and some cable stuff and finished up with some HIIT. Workout went something like this:

Barbell flat bench
Dumbell flat bench
Incline hammerstrength
Decline flat bench
Flat bench dumbell flys
Cable cross superset with cable raises

Feeling strong as ever.

Bro, I set up my current 20week cycle to have each compound peak at a different point in the cycle too. It’s worked wonders for me so far.

It’s early week 4. Probably day 22 or 23 of the blast. I hit back today, and apart from deadlifts I had a great workout. I’ve been utilizing a dip belt for added weight for pull ups and at this point I feel much stronger than my norm. Back pumps are starting to give me issues on deadlifts. They creep in when I do any unsupported rows, and deadlifts are just torture. So far my squats are uneffected but deadlifts aren’t even worth it until I’m done with the Dbol which is soon.

I have ran tren ace before I don’t like it as much as tren e. I love tren e. It’s a slower progression so I acclimate to it better than ace. I have basically no added social aggression. With ace I do the first couple weeks.

My first run of tren e was tren e 400mg and test e 150 mg. Didn’t need an AI at all. Just took a tiny bit of prami every night before bed and 50mg of p5p every morning. I upped it to 600mg the last 3 weeks ran it for 10. Gained 10lbs lean mass kept all of it. I will say this. I prefer running it at 400mg over 600mg. The cardio impact of 600mg was brutal. However next bulk I will run it at 600 along side 400mg of EQ...EQ definitely helps with the cardio sides.

Day 24. Arm day. Holy Mother of God the pumps were incredible today. Painful. I’m writing this about 30 minutes post workout, I’ve drank a shake and eaten a banana, and my hands are still shaken as I type. It’s to the point where I should be pinning my shoulder right after my shower in a minute but I am worried it’s not a good idea so I may hit my quad instead. Anyway great workout. So good in fact it was kind of on the shorter side for me. Trust me I walked out of there 110% finished.

Rope attachment cable tricep warmup

Seated overhead dumbell tricep extension superset with dumbell curls

At this point I tried to burn out my arms with the rope attatchment on the cables but only lasted two sets, I could barely hold onto the rope and was getting nowhere fast. My arms were done and hurting to the point a friend approached me and asked if I was doing ok since I was apparently looking like I was in pain. Lol

I think the DHB is starting to kick in now, and coupled with the Dbol, this workout is one of the sickest pumps I’ve ever gotten. I can’t wait to see where the DHB takes me from here. Still got a long ride ahead of me.

Btw, I’m using primeval labs mega cycle support, new chapter men’s 1 a day multi, fish oil, stance BCAA, N’sane pre workout, and pro7ein protein blend from Nutrishop.

So far so good for sides. No issues today other than a massive, massive pump. I’m gonna weigh myself soon and see where the scale is at. I try not to weigh myself too often so I don’t let my weight mess with my head in terms of what gains I’m making.

Dude yes! Preworkout cialis or viagra provide awesome pumps. I prefer cialis personally. But that’s just me.

Day 28

Back Day. Got up early today and hit the gym on a Sunday, had a big day of taking the kids to Sea World in front of me.

I had been doing a bunch of cardio coming into this blast, but wanted to pull it back a bit to maximize gains. I have slacked off for the last week or so though and done very little if any. I think I got in a 20 minute HIIT stationary bike session in twice last week. I normally do 3 days HIIT and 2-3 days of SSCV. Anyone think this is too much cardio to lean bulk on? At what point am I really stealing calories from my muscles?

Blast is going well, I had a good workout today. Back pumps are pretty debilitating doing any kind of rows. I just have to sack up and deal with it, but I’m gonna be finished with the Dbol this week if it returns this bad on my hamstring day.

So another question- I decided I am gonna be adding proviron into this blast in a few weeks... what dosing do you guys prefer? Do you typically run proviron the entire blast/cycle?

I think it’s gonna be a good addition to tie everything together.

Those sick pumps are definitely the DHB kicking in with that dianabol. That combo makes training like Dorian Yates easy. One good heavy set for each motion and you're just cooked. Can do full body in 45 minutes and train 7 days a week. If you hit some GH (7-10iu) post workout, and get a nap, you can do it twice a day. Man I grew like a really gnarly weed doing that.

Good going so far, let's see those daily PRs start coming on. DHB can be awesome for that.

Missed some logging days. I’ve had a hamstrings and arms day, an ancillaries/cardio/day off, a chest day, and a quads/shoulders day today. That puts us at about day 32. My pinning schedule is the same, 400mg a week in dhb, 750sustanon, 600 EQ. Dropped the Dbol at day 30. I love DBol but it seemed a little harsh on my appetite this time around. No point taking gear if I can’t eat... This DHB is seeming to be kicking in real well now anyway.

Noteworthy lifts: 500lbs deadlift , 405x2 squat, 120x10 dumbell press. All these are PR’s or match an old PR from my 20’s.

Got some extra dhb and eq on the way in case I wanted to play with doses. If I don’t use them I’ll just save for another run. Also going to be adding proviron at 75mg a day in about a week or two. Hopefully won’t be as harsh on me as the Dbol.

I’m glad to have some more participation from you guys on the log. I was feeling like I was just talking to myself for a minute. Anyway feel free to banter and bull**** on my log, as much as I want to provide good info on this blast, I’ve always loved bull****ting on the forums with fellow gym rats.

DHB and tren together would be quite a ride. If you’ve never ran DHB before maybe try it without the tren for the first 6 weeks or so... maybe you won’t need them both at once... then again maybe it’s flippin’ awesome... I guess only one way to find out lol

Back day/rest day

Hit up a good back workout yesterday. Been trying to focus more on how I contract my back muscles more than just throwing weight around. My back is definitely sore today so I think it is a good choice for me for now.

Workout:
Weighted pull ups
Hoist pull down machine
Barbell rows
Dumbell rows
Hammerstrength high row
Hammerstrength low row focus on low lat
Dumbell pull over

Today is a rest day. Pinned 1cc sust and 1cc dhb. I have quite the Depot/knot in my buttcheek lol. One thing to expect with this DHB is for your stuff to knot up every once in a while. This one is pretty darn noticeable. I don’t think there are any issues going on with the shot or gear, but darn it if this isn’t one of the biggest knots I have ever had from a shot. Not really any pain, just noticeable there is a lump in my buttcheek. I’ll keep you guys posted

I started this cycle doing z-track. But I was told by my guy that the DHB he brews has a good amount of EO in it and he recommended staying away from the quads. Honestly ive overpinned my quads when I was first pinning myself (my wife used to for me, but it just became more convenient to hit it up myself). So at the beginning I only had the guts to pin where I could see and easily reach. Thus my quads have a helluva lot of scar tissue from 1. Too many injects 2. Beginner injection inexperience where I wasn’t as steady with my hand. My quads are the most painful for me to inject now, and they are the only muscle group that I’ve pinned that I’ve ever gotten an infection from. I’ve heard some people say quads are more prone to infection than other muscle groups. Dave Pulumbo says to just avoid them altogether... but my ass is kinda sore at this point lol so I may wind up biting the bullet just for a break and to let the depots in my glutes get absorbed completely before hitting them again.

From what I understand bold cyp has some bite to it. So far DHB is what is the worst bite for me... then it’s a toss up between tren ace and test prop. Deca/eq/long ester test don’t bother me at all. I haven’t really ran much else inject wise. Sustanon bites sometimes and other times it’s smooth as silk idk why. I’ll say this, none of this pip compares to my first test propionate cycle. That was some virgin muscle by comparison and had me way more crippled than this dhb does now. That being said I’m pretty tolerant to pip compared to some friends of mine, and dhb would be really really intense for a newbie IMO

Im sure there could be some physiological reason, but I find rectus femoris (front of leg) pretty sweet, but holy fuk vastus lateralis (off to side) is definite no-go.

For me delts are the hardest to pin on my own just from a flexibility standpoint. I have a few local NPC competitor buddies I’m gonna hit up and see if they won’t show me some new spots to pin, but I’m gonna do these new ones (Chest, Lats, traps) with some supervision first.

So you don’t like the outer quad but you do the front of your quad is what you mean? I’m not great with the muscular anatomy nomenclature... I seem to pin my outer quad exclusively when I pin quads... am I hitting the wrong area?

Today is day 35. Hit hamstrings and arms today. This giant Depot of dhb and sust in my glute is not painful but it feels like there is a tennis ball or something in my buttcheek. Probably not that big but bigger than a golf ball. So what I normally would have done today had to be adjusted a bit for the awkwardness of the Depot. Like I said it’s not really hurting but I can feel it’s there 24/7. I warmed up with some stiff leg deadlifts on the smith machine and then got some deadlifts. Got to 405x10 but was over it at that point, I could see that my hips were coming up and down uneven because I was aware of the Depot and seemed to be subconsciously adjusting to it, i tried my best to just push through but by 405 I believe I had reached the point of diminishing returns this workout. Debating hitting my other glute or hitting my other quad today. The gear will be 1cc of eq and 1cc dhb... so I’m a little worried to hit my other glute and totally gimp myself. Then again the same logic could probably be applied to the quad. Maybe 1cc each shoulder and 2 shots? That might be the smartest option so I will be able to still walk tomorrow. Then again I inject dhb so often this is probably just inevitable at this point. Damned if ya do, damned if ya don’t.

Workout- hamstrings/arms

RDL on Smith machine
Deadlift
Hack squats
Lying down Hamstring curls

Preacher curl superset with overhead tricep press
Db curl
Tricep push downs rope attatchment
Single arm cable curl
Standing cable overhead tricep press

Pump is getting out of control. Vascularity is way up and I’m leaning out. I’ve been trying to up my calorie, especially carb intake because no matter what I feed myself so far I’m just getting leaner and leaner. Which is great but shoot I thought I was trying to bulk. My diet is really clean this time around, I used to dirty bulk and eat anything I wanted... but now it seems like the fat I’m expecting to be put on isn’t coming. I’ve slowed down my cardio to 2-3 times a week for only 20 min. I seem bigger to myself in the mirror so I guess that’s what counts. Body weight isn’t really moving too much this seems like a recomp more than a bulk... if so, so be it.

So you don’t like the outer quad but you do the front of your quad is what you mean? I’m not great with the muscular anatomy nomenclature... I seem to pin my outer quad exclusively when I pin quads... am I hitting the wrong area?
It could be more blind luck than anything me having had no issues with front of quads.

Outside is wrong area? Hell no dude. Well, fukt if I know lol. If it works for you, carry on until you come across info advising otherwise.

I use my outer quads as well. No issues but when PIP hits, it does hurt there!!!

PIP in left glute is going down but not gone. I had my wife give me an injection in the other glute and there is no pain, so I apparently just hit a sensitive spot or an existing depot, or I just moved the needle while I was injecting. Either way it’s interesting how the DHB can be painless in some inection sites and ruthless in others.

I was reminded during this workout of why I only use spotters that I know can spot. I hit 315x1 with no spot on flat bench like it was 225. It just flew up. So I wanted to go for something like 4, but I knew I needed a spotter, and there was nobody at the gym that I had ever had spot me before. So I asked some kid who looked like he actually lifted weights for a little bit and he agreed to spot me. He had headphones in but I thought nothing of it, we all do. So on my press he basically let me do the first, pulled on the second even though I had it, let me fail the third completely at about halfway up the rep for quite a while before he pulled it super hard again. I didn’t even want to try a fourth. Turns out he was on a conference call and basically not paying attention to me. Other than that it was a great workout.

Gear - decided to see if the DHB would hurt by itself (I had been injecting each CC of DHB with a CC of sust or bold in order to mitigate PIP)
And my glutes were not available to inject for a few days. So I shot each of my quads. Ironically both the DHB in my right leg and the Sust on the left have no pip today. Again makes me think I must have screwed up on something for my left glute to have lumped up so bad a few days back.

Forgive my ignorance on the subject but what exactly is DHB? The only DHB I know of is something used to extend halflife in some of the orals I have used. I assume not the same thing at all.

DHB is DiHydroBoldenone. It’s the 5a reduced form of boldenone like DHT is to testosterone. Some people refer to DHB as 1-Testosterone. The version I am using is the cypionate ester. Any of the legal 1-andro products are a 2 step conversion to the 1-T hormone and any of the original 1-AD products are a 1 step conversion to 1-T. I’m taking the end result of those prohormones as an active steroid, DHB.

To be completely honest my stuff says 1-test cyp on the bottles too. I just thought DHB was the true name of the hormone, and it’s way faster to type.

Was getting my kids dressed earlier today and saw my Vascularity so far and was pretty impressed. I haven’t alwaus had a roadmap of veins on my arms so this is kinda a cool result of this blast so far.

So I have been pretty busy with life and haven’t updated for a hot minute. I’ve switched gyms to the Oceanside Metroflex. I’m really happy with this decision, stepping out of my comfort zone and getting work in with some heavy hitters. I have a coach now, and will be competing sometime in the next 6 months. My first show I will compete in the physique category and will take it from there as to whether to stay for a few more shows or move up to classic physique. I’ll let you guys know when I decide on the show I will be competing in.

I’ve been getting some killer workouts in at metroflex, all on machines I’ve never used before that are hitting my muscles in all kinds of new ways, and I think I’m gonna be seeing some serious progress this year.

I changed my protocol for gear per suggestion of my coach, so this might be wrapping it up for this blast log, as I won’t be a good judge of dhb much longer. Lemme know if you want me to continue... or I’ll just wrap up my thoughts so far.

So as far as a review for dhb goes, I have pretty much ran 6 weeks of it and have seen a good amount of results already. Basically the body seems to react a lot like tren minus the sweating profusely and minus cardio being awful. It seems to be a little less dry than tren but my muscles stayed way fuller, tren made me kind of flat by comparison.

It takes 4 weeks to kick in. There was a big change in vascularity and muscular endurance during week 4 and on.

I haven’t gained **** for weight but I am still on this massive massive recomp. I look better by the day but if your diet isn’t there... I would expect more recomp than a bulker. Maybe stack this with a nandrolone like npp and see where it gets you. It’s not a libido killer or booster. Waaay less agression than tren. The only reason you know you’re on it is the stupid lumps in your muscles from the depots. This **** bites. It’s probably shot for shot the most painful steroid I have injected. Still I didn’t think it was a very big deal except for the one really gnarly shot in my left glute. If you have ran high doses of test prop this is probably not too far off from the PIP from that... it just lasts a day or two longer.

All in all, other than the PIP, it’s a really mild steroid in terms of sides compared to how much it changed my phisique.

I’d give it a 8/10... two points off, one for pip and one for the price... it’s akin to running a cycle of primo... not cheap.

One other thing. I have ran it at 400mg/week the whole time. So a higher dose might bulk up some more. I might go up to 500 and see what happens I’ll chime in again if I do.
