Iron Champ USA PCT w/ HPTA and Volume (Sponsored)

First of all, thanks to koi1214 and the Iron Champ USA crew!



My cycle consisted of Ostar1ne for ~8 weeks @ 20mg. This was the end of a cutting phase. I immediately went into a Forerunner Labs 1-DHEA (2 bottles) and 4-DHEA (1 bottle). I transitioned into a bulk for the DHEA cycle.



For PCT, I have 2 bottles of HPTA (1 still on the way) and 1 bottle of Volume. This will be along side Clomid. Still unsure if ill dose 50/50/25/25 or what. Any input?? I'm going to start Clomid and HPTA simultaneously. I'll save the Volume til the 2nd bottle of HPTA and I'm off Clomid.



Just a quick about me. In Feb, I'll hit my 3yr mark of this weightlifting lifestyle. Started at a disgusting, scrawny looking 148lbs. Continuous bulk & cut cycles got me up to ~190lbs (admittedly a little flabby) as of today. I looked pretty good at a leaner 170-175lbs. Right now, I'm doing a P/P/L routine, twice a week.







Today was my first dose. Tested out .5ml of Clomid with 1 dose of HPTA. No gym today, they closed at 2pm and my sleep schedule is all messed up. Lol. Closed tomorrow, too. Holiday hours.

HPTA :

Ingredients per capsule : Dosage: 3 capsules a day


Fadogia Agrestis: 400 mgs
Avenacosides 7% A and B: 50 mgs
Bulbine Natalensis: 300 mgs
3,4 Divanillytahydrofuran; 150 mgs

Just a quick update. Haven't been to the gym yet. I hoped to go last (Fri) night, first day the gym was open again. However, my Grandpa died on the 30th (his Birthday, unreal) and it was a late night with family. Funeral tomorrow, but I fully intend on hitting the gym in the late afternoon.



Dosed ~20mg Clomid the first day. Never used it before. Also, wanted to make sure it wasn't like Clen or something... Lol. Took ~60mg the last two days. Full doses of HPTA throughout. Really looking forward to starting Volume, but I'm going to wait it out til the 2nd bottle of HPTA. Haha

Dumb ego. Went for 405lbs. Felt great. Got 5 reps, which is a PR. Only got 3 before. Decided to try a 1RM PR. Never tried over 415lbs or 425lbs, can't remember. Went for 455lbs. Form is obviously terrible, but I actually felt like I could have grinded it out. However, I felt ab abdomen pull, right side area of my lowest rib. I've had that happen before but my left side. I'm not sure why of all places I give out there... Huh.

Here was the rest of yesterday's workout.

Pull day. Working sets only.

Deadlift : 405lbs x 5 (PR), 455lbs x 1 (fail)
Bent over dumbbell rows : 3x8 @ 85lb DB
Bent over rear felt flies : 3xfailure (8-12 reps) @ 25lb DB
Curls : 3xfailure (7-10 reps) @ 35lb DB
Hammer curls : 3xfailure @ 35lb DB
Cable pulldowns (palms facing inward) 3x9 @ 150lb's
Stiff arm pullsdowns : 3xfailure @ 45lb cable

Skipped abs, obviously. Overall, felt great. It was just a week ago I hit 405lbs x 3 for a deadlift PR. My sleep has been terrible lately, too, so I was ecstatic to hit 405x5. Hence the 1RM ego lift.

As far as supplements :
~60mg (1.5mL) Clomid.
3 caps HPTA.
Baby Aspirin
Nimbus Cadence (Cholesterol support)

Preworkout:
1/2 scoop Neurosurge v1
OL Vital1ty (Creatine, Betaine & Phos. Serine)
Potassium Nitrates
2 caps Amentomax
Vit C

So far, everything seems fine. First cycle taking a SERM. I'm assuming 1-DHEA is still in my system, though. Libido is strong. Not sure if this is from the PCT or just normal. My libido goes in cycles, normally.

Had a Push day, today. I probably wont post my lifts every update. But here's my Push day:

Working sets

Incline Bench : 8+7+6 @ 205lbs
Flat Bench : 225x8, 245x5, 265x4, 225x5
Skullcrushers : 3x6 @ EZ bar + 95lbs
Tricep cable pushdowns: 45lbs x failure, drop set 25lbs x failure. 3 sets
Machine OHP : 120lbs x failure, 3 sets
Side lateral raises : 3x10 @ 30lb DB (not a "push" but I like doing them as an accessory to OHP)

Typical supplementation. Just skipped my stims preworkout, today.

Noticed some real aggression today. I'm a pretty calm guy, even on the mild cycles I've done. Last night and today. Just set off easily. Not sure if that's clomid or what.

Nothing to note in libido, today. Normal.

I've been sleeping terribly, lately. Noticed in down to 186lbs today. Peaked at 189-190lbs on cycle. I don't feel like I'm eating less, but I think I'm going to eat a little more. I felt like my flat bench and OHP were weak today. I should be hitting 130-140 on machine OHP. My shoulders have been bothering me, though... I think the strength increases in cycle really impacted my joints.

Oh, the ab injury didn't effect my lifts, today. I still feel it, obviously. Probably will for a week or so. Sprayed some Joint Force on it. Lol. Dunno.

Today was my leg day.

Had to wait for the single squat rack, today. Like 45 minutes. :/. Did a few warmups. "Donkey kicks" and light leg presses.

Box squats : 4@315lbs, 2x6@275lbs, 8@225lbs
Glute Bridges : 10+8+8 @ 225lbs
Lunges : 3x8 @ BW + 2x60lb DB
Abductor machine : 3x15 @ 110lbd

Weight : 186.5lbs

Feel normal. No aggression today, may have been a fluke thing. Libido is meh today, but a chica is coming over tonight so we'll see... Slept a little better the last 2 days. Weights felt pretty solid, today. My ab is still tender, but didn't effect my lifts much, today. I'll have to skip deadlift tomorrow, though. :/

Had my Pull day, today. Minus deadlift. Everything felt good, as expected. Of course I didn't deadlift, so I wasn't as worn out, but lifts felt same as when I was on cycle. Good feeling. :p

Weight : 187.2lbs

Libido was good today. Woke up ready to go! I'm 30, so I'm not old, but I've noticed these last few years my libido has taken a little drop. Morning wood is not an every day thing anymore! Lol

Seemed irritable again today. Felt confident in the gym, too.

Had a Push day today. Set a PR on flat bench, 280lbs x 4. Previous PR was 275x3 and 285x2, both without a spotter though. Played it safe. I was able to workout with my buddy, so I figured I'd take advantage of having a spotter. Feels good man. :p.

Oh, the 280x4 was after a set of 235x8.

According to my 1RM calculator App, that's a 305lbs 1RM. Trying to get that bitch up to 3 plates.

The rest of the workout was basically as expected. Knocked out some reps with 205lbs on incline bench. That was an embarrassing lift for me just a few months ago. Like 50lbs less. No joke.

Felt mentally and physically same as yesterday. No change.

All in all, I'm feeling great. I think this PCT is going better than my last, as far as keeping my progress. I seemed to have a little drop off immediately, last time, but not this time. Not yet.

Last cycle was also 1-DHEA (with EpiAndro).

Weight : 186.2lbs. I feel like I'm eating easily enough to gain weight, but its not happening... Lol. I've been counting calories on and off for nearly 3 years. My energy expenditure is high, right now. I'm lazy as hell outside the gym too. Haha

Nice work man. We're right on the same pace. I barely pulled 455 on deads last week, and got 305 last max attempt on bench. Also in pct.

Had a Pull Day today. I'll hit legs tomorrow. My workout buddy only comes 4 days a week, max and he's not about a leg day. Lol!







So I just skipped Deads and abs. Workout felt fine. Wasn't weak or stronger than expected.







So, after the workout, I feel great. I slept in today and was pretty groggy til I hit the gym. Definitely feeling good and confident today.



Weight was 185.8lbs. I need to start a see-food diet, I guess... Good lord. Oddly, I've kinda lost my appetite, too. Sucks.

Best pct I've ever ran. Strength has diminished slightly on bench and shoulder presses but that's it. Still gaining in other lifts. But held more size than ever in a pct. Just kind of know how to do it better now.

Hit legs last night. Overall, solid. Kind of abbreviated, gym closed at 8pm and I didn't get there til 7:15, but I got right into it.

I've been doing box (bench) squats, lately. The bench is slightly above parallel, so I could move more weight. Did sets of 6 with 315lbs. Most I've done with that weight. I tried regular squats, full depth, with 225lbs but I could feel that in my abs getting out of the hole. Still a bit tender. Did some glute bridges with 225lbs. Some DB lunges and some machine kick backs. Ran out of time, then.

Feeling good still. I actually don't feel any major difference from when I was on cycle. Fullness is down a little and I dropped a couple pounds. Mentally, I'm good. Confident. Still strong, getting stronger in PCT. Libido is good. Loving this PCT, so far!

Push day tonight.

I think I'm going to drop the Clomid dose, as week 2 starts today. Which means I'm also half way through my HPTA. I'll also start Volume, today. Yeah buddy.

Workouts felt about normal. Didn't feel any appreciable amount stronger or weaker. Happy about that, so far, through PCT.

Weight was like 186lbs and 187lbs, roughly.

I'm doing my Leg day, right now. Will update later or tomorrow.

My leg day was last night.



Just a simple routine. Hit some standard squats. Coming out of the hole bothered my ab a little, so I went right to box (bench) squats. Did 315lbs for a few sets. Felt a little heavy, but not bad. Next, some glute bridges, with 225lbs. Then some lunges with DB's. Was going to do kick backs or whatever you call them (machine) but someone was on it and I was actually pretty worn out.



Felt pretty tired yesterday. If this continues, I may take ~4 days off and recover. I love the P/P/L routine, but there's not much time to recover. Fitting the same routine in 4 days is really nice, but I tend to not hit my legs as much.



Weight was 188lbs, so I'm glad to see its climbing back up a bit.



Push day today.

Push tonight.



Felt pretty good on Bench. Hit 265x6, 225x10 and 275x4. No spotter. Haha. Took a hit on my Incline after that. Everything else was solid. Skullcrushers, tricep pushdowns, DB OHP and side lat raises.



Heavy skullcrushers be killing my elbows. Damn.



Weighed 190.8!



Honestly, I thought Clomid would make me horny as fu and shoot some big loads, but none of that really. I had a couple days if solid libido, I'm ready in the morning, but completely normal during the day. Just starting the Volume, so I should get a good feel for its individual effects, now.

Haha skullcrushers kill my elbows too. But not if I do them with DB's. Just a slight tweak in hand position and mobility and they don't hurt.

Here's where I'm at right now. Weighed 189lbs today. This is no pump, no flex.

Can't believe I can bench ~300lbs and I have such a weak chest... Lol.

So, I took a few days off. Did another Push day just to keep my schedule right and also not mess up working out with my occasional gym partner.

Solid day. Hit 275x4 and then did some sets with 245lbs and dropped to 225lbs to burn out. Totally forgot to try DB skullcrushers. But I did drop a few pounds and it was ok, not unbearable. Did machine shoulder press today. I haven't been able to do these heavy in a while. Have some sore shoulders from the cycle. Was hitting ~140lbs for reps on cycle, haven't done over ~110lbs since. Finally did some reps at 130lbs today. Fwiw, I do shoulder after benching and killing tri's. I'm pretty trashed at that point. I really wanted to bring up my tri's though. I'll probably switch shoulders and tri's down the road.

I feel pretty normal these days. Any residual "on" feeling seems to be gone.

Libido seems normal to slightly higher.

Here's me at ~170lbs, fwiw. This was near the end of my cut, while on Ostar1ne. I immediately went from cutting on Osta to bulking on 1-DHEA + 4-DHEA.



+20lbs, dunno where the weight went... Lol.

(slight ab flex apparently.)

Hit Pull on Tues and Push yesterday.



Pull was solid. I think I hit a rep PR on DB Rows and also moved up 10lbs on cable pull-downs. Although, I'm still not doing deadlifts, so I could have more strength from missing those.



Push day was great. Did 275x5 on flat bench, which is a rep PR. Decided to try 295lbs, which I've never even attempted. Got a single, could have probably got a double, but no spotter. Decided to do some close grip benching instead of skullcrushers. Also, hit shoulders before tri's this time. Glad to know I still had good shoulder strength and it was just hitting tri's first that wore me down. The weight I was using on machine OHP previously felt fairly light.



Libido has been fairly normal. Strong morning urges, though.



Confidence is completely normal. Any benefits I had in confidence and muscle fullness (on cycle) are completely gone, now.

I feel great, though. Strength is good and apparently slowly improving. Stoked about that! Just want to start cutting... :/. Lol. But I'm not going to, want to make sure I keep these gains.

Hit Pull Day yesterday.

Nothing really to report. I felt pretty tired and uninspired this workout. Bad sleep past few days. Trucked through it, also was against the clock.

I was actually down to 186lbs. Water intake has been off last couple days and probably a little low on calories. Wish I would get back to calorie counting, but I'm honestly sick of it. I'd rather save the energy for cutting when I need to be strict.

Libido is same as last few dats, nothing crazy. Feeling fine, overall.

Push yesterday.



Solid lifts, not impressed or upset. Sets of 275lbs, 245lbs and 225lbs on flat bench. Incline suffered a bit. 205lbs felt heavy, only got 4 & 5 reps, I think. Maybe 5 & 6, can't remember. My right felt got tight after that, wasn't feeling too string on DB OHP's. Did sets with 55lb DB's. I rarely use DB, mostly machine for OHP. Been tossing in some closed grip decline bench late in my push routine to get tri's (and chest) more. Also, went back and did some weak a$$ drop sets on flat bench after I was done. Really want to build my chest mass. I feel strong, but I want way more chest mass.



Weight was 188lbs, I think.



Felt completely normal, again (libido & mood).



Just realized tomorrow ends my 4th week of Clomid. I meant to drop my dose, but I've basically been taking it EOD this past week, so left it around 60ml EOD. I might taper it down a few more days... HPTA should be nearly gone too. Was supposed to get 2 bottles, but I never got my 2nd bottle. So now I'm basically going to be running Volume solo. :/

I've been slacking on legs this last week. Took a few days off here and there and trying to still workout with my buddy who doesn't have a regular leg day. Might not make the gym next 2 days, but if I do, leg day for sure! Leg day is next, regardless. Lol
