Just finished my session.
lifting only today. No conditioning.

weights went up and down good. really need to work on mobility for shoulder as my delts are very tight. energy was great throughout but got a little sweaty but not too much.
tomorrow is a big session.
strength, metcon, strength so I will be putting myself through the ringer tomorrow. my kcal intake will be ~2100

250g protein
60g fat
rest veggies and sweet potato post workout and dinner.

fat sources are usually free range garlic aioli mayo, nuts, fish oil, fatty cuts of free range meat.

If anyone has any questions or wants to query something please post away. I'm open to criticism and convo about everything.

best time to apply XI-KT?

So Applying it in the morning before he works out, or after, is counter productive.

What would be the issue with apply pwo? If you could give a small gap (say 30min or so) wouldn't that be sufficient?

You want the cortisol response from training. The other times of the day are cool.

Best would be a diurnal saliva test to show you cortisol patterns throughout the day. Then you would know when's best to apply.

Day 2 - 2/6/2014

Warm up:
1 lap inchworms
1 lap bear crawls
10 jumping lunges

Strength (18mins)
Back Squat 5-5-3-3-1

Worked up to 155kg x 1

Felt good. Could have pushed the 160kg but after coming off the flu and a bad throat, I was pleased with this effort.

WOD: Box gone bad (our version of fight gone bad)
5 stations = 1 circuit
3 rounds, 1 minute rest after each 5 stations

Perform 1 exercise (as many reps as possible in that minute) of the following:
24kg KB swings (American style)
9kg wall ball (10ft target)
burpees (not your typical spastic burpee but a full push up burpee and jump/hip release at start position)
20" box jumps
Row (calories)

Do this circuit, rest 1 minute, repeat again, rest 1 minute and go again
I completed the following reps each circuit
114/115/108
total = 337 reps

Cliffs:

Diet - great. Carbs (berries) post workout - breakfast and 100g sweet potato just then for dinner to help with cortisol and sleep (serotonin levels). Protein was just right and had my fats. Will weigh in tomorrow.

I had a pump just after the warm up started today. biceps were swelling very quickly.

Dosed 15mg tri pre training (5:!5am)
15mg 6pm
just done my 1ml dose XI-KT over my chest and clavicle/shoulders.

Had 2 scoop superpump max and 1 scoop focus XT caff free pre workout with 1 norco and 2 amentomax. Just the right amount of stim but will ease off the stim in weeks 2 and beyond to combat any BP issues.

On a side note, been pissing a lot today. Drank 1.2 gallons water ~ 5ish litres.

Dosed cycle assist 4 am/4 pm spread 10 hours apart.

Loving the veins already. I could already see my abs quiet well but my lower 2 are lagging slightly so I will love to see what XI-KT can do in this regard to really clean me up will triumphalis increases my strength and helps me drop some bodyfat.

Good sessions. Felt strong and body is feeling better. still on the cough syrup but that is finished tomorrow so I'm happy about that!

Craved chickn and broccoli today so I had my local thai restaurant make me a large bowl of steamed chicken and broccoli with a side of gluten free panang suace (100ml) together with some plain chicken skewers.

about 450g chicken and 150g broccoli at lunch. absolutely smashed it.

Low carb today. Tomorrow is sushi so refeed to replenish glycogen.

Weight was down today as noted above.

In for the results.

Guess I've been using the XI-KT wrong then, as I apply it after my workout. I seem to be getting good results regardless, and my strength seems to be maintaining or gaining, and I am getting leaner in the process.

My previous 1RM was 120kg so I can now say that I have my 1RM has increased which I am very pleased about.

Diet was good and had sushi as a carb up for lunch. Very enjoyable.

I have a runny nose which is annoying me so I'm still kicking this damn sucky flu.

I have 2 WOD's tomorrow and 1 of the WOD's will be part of a comp so I will keep you posted.

Very happy thus far with my progress. Starting to notice "some" strength increases already but that may just be adaptations... we shall see shortly.

Isn't the cortisol rise, after the workout, negative? Catabolic and fat-retaining?

no. It helps with growth and repair. you want to modulate cortisol later afternoon and pre bed.

I have been reading your posts over on phf along with devastatingdave lol.

I'm enjoying this far.
so far i have set a PR on 4 main lifts
deadlift 200kg ---> 210kg
bench 120kg ---> 125kg
strict press 85kg ---> 90kg
squat 155kg ---> 170kg

super super excited for weeks 3 and 4.
