Safer- yes. Safe for a baby that's developing hormones, absolutely not. To be safe, I'd apply on your thighs and hamstrings and keep it away from where your child could possibly be skin to skin ~ basically upper body

Why, are you unable to properly clothe yourself for some reason?? That's like someone worrying about taking a dump before they make a sandwich - if you just use common sense and wash your hands with soap thoroughly before contact with the food, everything is going to be fine.
