what is too much ?!?!

  1. what is too much ?!?!


    i'm 180 and less than 10% bf, 5'8", tend to be very lean naturually.

    i'm looking at bulking naturually for the next two months and am wondering what kind of weight gain should be considered "normal" so that i know if i'm putting on too much fat.

    ie: if i put on 5 lbs in two weeks, is this more than is reasonable?

    (i know this is a vague question, just looking for rough estimates)

  2. 1-2lb lean gains per week is probably the most without supplements. More than 2lb could hint that you're eating too much.

    and when you say "suppliments" i assume you mean steroids and creatine right?

    I'm pretty sure he means just steroids here. Creatine is a not an anabolic, and despite what the media would love many of us to bed should never be lumped in the same category as anabolic steroids in terms of muscle producing effects.

    On a side note, if you aren't using creatine already, you should be and it certainly does help and is VERY safe.

    As much as you can put on without packing on bodyfat. Its not too difficult to figure this out

    If the waist turns into a pile of jello, you're gaining too fast (and in the wrong places). If you're staying lean and packing on mass at a great rate...all the better!

    Its an anabolic, just not an anabolic "steroid". Insulin is the most anabolic hormone in your body, but once again, its not an anabolic "steroid".

    This is the formula I use for bulking. Try doing light-moderate cardio 2 times a week. It helps keep the gut off and allows you to eat more/increase your metabolism.

    In all honesty, if 2lbs/wk lasts more than 2 wks you'd be luckier than hell to not be putting it all in the belly (assuming you're not a brand new lifter). Natural = slow and steady

  10. Hmm, where's my head today? I should've said steroids in my first post and the other post is just plain wrong.

    Slow and steady not only gets you to the finish but allows you time to goto strip clubs and other fun stuff
