Wendy's

Ultimate chicken grill sandwich

With no honey mustard sauce:

Calories: 330
Fat: 5 grams, 1 G is saturated
Carbs: 41 grams, 2 grams fiber 8 grams sugars
Protein: 31 grams

Sodium 990mgs (This is the bad part)

Large chili

Calories:330
Fat: 9 grams, 3.5 saturated
Carbs: 35 grams, 8 grams of fiber, 9 grams of sugars
Protein: 25 grams
Sodium 1170mgs (again the sodium level is high)

Except for the high sodium this seems pretty decent for fast food.
It is too bad but I’m certain the sodium is what enhances the flavor.

Yeah that is pretty decent. At taco bell if you get 2 fresco style chicken ranchero soft tacos it is:

Fat:8g only 2g saturated
Carbs:41 with 3 grams fiber
Protein:25g
Calories:330
Sodium: 1130mg bad part haha

Anyways, if your interested or like taco bell, they have a nutrition calculator so you can mix and match things and find out the macronutrient ratio etc.

Great thread to start! I really need to make a list of decent fast food choices for when I'm away from home.

Subway foot long sandwiches:
Cals/Pro/Carb/Fat

Oven Roasted Chicken Breast
660/48/94/10

Turkey Breast
560/36/92/9

Subway Club
640/48/94/12

Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki*
740/52/118/10

*Lots of sugar w/ this one. Hopefully it's not high fructose corn syrup.

Remember to not get cheese, mayo, ranch, etc(the good stuff) because they're all very high in fat. Mustard is the only really good option for a sauce because it's basically calorie free. There is Fat Free Honey Mustard & Sweet Onion Sauce, but they will add 15-20g of sugar to your sub.

Only real beverage choices are water, unsweetened tea, diet soda, or milk.

Funny how they always advertise as being healthy, but any of their sandwiches that really taste good are full of fat. I always used to get the Classic Tuna, which I recently found out has 62 grams of fat BEFORE you add cheese!

6" Meatball Marinara (not the best choice)
560/24/63/24

The cheeses on a 12" sub add around 7-10g of fat.

Burger King

Tendergrill Chicken Sandwich (honey mustard spread, no mayo)
450/37/53/10

No point in getting a salad when all their dressings are 110 cals or more and at least 8g of fat.

Judging by the 6 pack in your avatar, you can afford to eat a couple. (bastard:D )
I'll have to stick to regular whoppers.

Good thread I agree, it's convenient all in one spot. Glenihan, keep in mind that GI is altered and lowered when combined with protein, fat or carbs too. GI is based on a fasting state with only that specific carb ingested. Although I do agree it is better to low GI foods anyway. Pizza and chocolate have low GIs, but it doesn't mean they are good for you. ;)

I have downloaded nutritional info from most of the fast foods sites that offer it. It's usually in pdf format. Alot of the places that I thought had healthy food don't. There are a few items at some places, but you're better off bringing your own food.:burger:

A couple of years ago, I bought a calorie counter book off of some website and is probably one of the smartest things I've ever done. It has over a hundred chain restuarants nutritional facts inside and its always in my glovebox compartment just in case I ever have to make a emergency stop somewhere on the road. A good investment imo.
