Transitioning to a bulk
Just curious how you vets transition from a cut to a bulk. I'll be coming off my cut in a few weeks, at which I've been at a 500 cal deficit. I'm looking to start my bulk and was wondering how you more experienced guys do the transition. Do you go straight from your 500 cal deficit one day to a 500 cal surplus the next? Or do you take a few weeks at maintenance before going to the surplus? It's been a natty cut and I'll be doing a natty bulk, if that matters.

The more I think about it the more I feel maybe I should ease into my bulk. I've always just jumped straight from bulk to cut to back to bulk, but it's only been the last year or so that I've actually taken my diet serous. I want to gain as little fat as possible, being that I'm at the lowest body fat I've ever been.

Depends on how low you went. 500 isnt to bad and IMO you dont need to worry about Reverse Dieting.
What I usually do because my appetitie seems to dissapear fast as I cut, and I cant seem to get a whole lot of food in me is to start supplementing with a mass gainer shake. Either homemade, or Mass Gainz as it has real carbs in it.
If you can handle just increasing your food, than I would do that.
Jump back up to your maintenance for a couple weeks to maybe a month (depending how long you have to bulk), than over that I would add in 100-200 cals as you see fit.

I wonder this myself. Some people tend to think there is an "anabolic window" after a cut. Yet, some say its best to reverse diet, given it was a prolonged cut. I kinda wonder if the said anabolic window is just glycogen, which would lead to immediate size, weight and strength gains.
Although, I've personally never really cut below 10% and doubt a reverse diet has ever been necessary for me.

there is emerging human data that suggests you should keep carbs low as you make your transition to the bulk.. perhaps it would be helpful to add carbs in each week for your additional calories. start out by replacing some of the current carb content with some mint infused Fish Oil.

The past two years after cutting I've just immediately started bulking within a week post-show. Big mistake as it's an easy ass way to put a ton of fat on quickly. I'll ease into my bulk much more slowly this year and take a few months before I hit +1000 cal surplus.
