I have officially removed myself from every negative scenario in my life which unfortunately included my fiancé and my career. the people I have loved the most have brought me down to the lowest point of my life and its time to put myself and my son first. enough of that.....
ive officially entered in the http://palmettopowerlifting.com/StateMeet2013.pdf for single bench press only at 165lbs. this is my first ever comp of any kind and am hoping for a 285x1 press, a few weeks ago i was struggling for 225x1 and now im repping 225x5. im am not looking for any placement but more so the experience and the struggle with in my self.
currently:
5'5"
163-165lbs goal 180 at 10% - no time frame
32
bench 245x1 - goal 285x1 in 7 weeks....

diet is more of a recomp considering im at contest weight already as looks like this:
pro-150g whole food, 10g f-luecine, 10g eaa's, 3 scoops pf3
fats-80g, majority olive oil and nuts and seeds
carbs-cycled pre/post training days only, low carb non training....
cardio is 10min pre workout only

im also still looking for hypertrophy overall but focusing on chest for now with the rest of the muscles being compound lifts on a 4 day split. i tend to use less iso movements anymore....

8 months ago after mechabol/stano - 173lbs


current finaflex 550xd-epiv-max pump - 163lbs

Sorry to hear about your setbacks, Tech. I'm glad to see your motivation out of it all though. Definetly subbed. You're gonna have a lot of fun doing it.

Signing up for a competition can bring a level of dedication and purpose to training that is hard to mimic elsewhere.

Do you have any particular approach for your pressing?

ive been working with a few guys at the gym on a comp bench practicing form and whatnot, no specific approach honestly..

245x1 tonight after a few warmups and stretching, went into 250 but the spotter, for some freakin reason, decided to snatch the weight as I was 3/4 up...

finished with drop sets on flat bench along with tricep work...

Hit 260x1flat bench.....met someone and am feeling happy again....started dpol, nolvadren xt, and prxt....

Macros are back in check and look and feel much fuller and stronger.

Man the sense of happiness is the best thing! Glad you've found a better mindset, now its really time to break the walls with that stack

How is training going? Gettin close to the meet!
Def Bummed out had to put money towards my car...new control arms and water pump so I missed the deadline to enter. Shame too I def. wish I could have found out where I stand among others in state.

Training is going rather swell, leg day tomorrow! How about yourself?

Least it went up. Sounds like you're right, with playing with 225. Using the submaximal weights and keeping your form tight, and bar speed fast, will still contribute to increasing your 1RM

Plus with 225 for reps I can still incorporate hypertrophy

Agreed. People can say they don't want kids all they want. I said that too, until I had mine. Greatest feeling ever.

8 oz pre cooked weight chicken breast and swiss cheese.... 64g of protein, not sure why peeps struggle hitting pro goals. Not seen is 2 cups of rice with 2 tbsp olive oil mixed in
