    Looking to hear from personal experience


    I'm at a solid 250 right now, I'm looking to do what everyone does, drop fat and keep my size and strength. Tried a few things, haven't found what works for me just yet, I read all these things online but I want to hear from actual people. What do you guys suggest?

    I'm in a situation very similar to yours, OP. I've been having solid progress using Lyle McDonald's Ultimate Diet 2.0. I incorporate this into a Leangains approach, as Celorza linked above. I'm down 15lb in about a month and, so far, I've been getting stronger in most lifts.

    Great, thank you, I love my size like I said but everyone looks for that way to cut that fat.

    the simple way to go about it is to do it slowly. shoot for losing 1/2-1lb a week by adding some extra cardio and keeping diet as it is for maintenance. You'll see no strength loss, you won't see fast size loss, you won't flatten out but over time you'll drop fat.

    I was thinking speed intervals or an incline of 10 at 4.0 for 15 minutes. Speed intervals would be 3.0 for 1:30 then sprint for the last 30sec of 2 minutes. Any suggestions?

    I prefer to just sprint on a track and rest between sprints, but that's personal preference.

    I would recommend 15min or so of HIT cardio before your workout along with sticking to a good diet. That seemed to net the best results for me personally.
