Macro Ratios, Seems HIGH HGIH HIGH!?

    Macro Ratios, Seems HIGH HGIH HIGH!?


    Ok, so alot of people seem to follow the ol' ratio of 40-40-20, now I can see this working on a 3k calorie diet or less, but what about for those of us BULKING!? I require atleast 5k calories to bulk, which if following this ratio, would give me 500carbs, and 500protein? Now, I know protien is important, but thats well over 2g per Lb of BW. Is it a waste?

    Would a different Macro Ratio be more realistic, or beneficaial when you require so many calories?

    360 g protein and 210 g fat is about 3200 cals,

    i believe cant remember off hand as i did no math just now.

    but if thats the case add in 300g carb and your set.

    it really is a lot of food, hence why im not going to be bulking. i enjoy the keto style, so for me 3500-cals on workout days, in protein and fat are just not cost feasable.

    however if i add carbs all id have is 1 box of cinnamon life per day. lol

    gues what im trying to say is do an iso caloric diet.

    33% of each macro.

    Geez! Thats some carbs, but back to my question, 5k calorie diet with 40-40-20 macros, would equal 500 grams of protein! Seems up there to say the least..

    5000 x.33/4 = 412.5 protein and 412.5 carb

    5000x .33/9 = 183.3 fat.

    now you can up the fat, to 225 making it. 2025 cals

    thus you can drop the other cals by almost 100 making protein 387 (which isnt too bad)

    and carbs you can drop to 337.5

    there for

    225 fat = 2025 cals
    337.5 carb= 1350
    387.5 protein= 1550

    theres a new macro count.

    you can switch protein and carb amount though which is fine.

    Thats pretty damn easy to do if you ask me.

    just pricey
