So the title says it. It'll be physique. I'm 5'11", 28 years old, and weigh in at 206 with around 10% bodyfat. Just some help with the sodium monitoring near the end.
I think I have my diet plan fairly intact. I can keep 10% at like 400 carbs per day so I'm going to start tapering carbs down and the last week maybe go keto. I'm on a cycle currently, show will not be tested, but I'm probably going to lower doses to remove any possible bloat on Trest and add in Epi any second. But any advice will definitely be welcomed! First contest and the posing kind of has me nervous too.

If you haven't tested how you react to peak week protocols I wouldn't recommend you try them during peak week.

Look as good as you can a week out from the show and cruise into it. It doesn't make sense to look amazing one week out and then change everything with no idea how you will respond.

I've went basically keto already. . I retain muscle really well.. my metabolism is a rare kind which I'm blessed to have. Cut easy and don't lose muscle very quickly. I've dropped bodyfat like 2% I'm a week before but that was from 12%

Find what works for you. Do two shows in a row ( 2-4 weeks separation) & test different strategies.

The best for my is honestly doing the diet as normal all the way through the show. No sodium loading or carb loading.

I use a diuretic because it helps me dry out because my diet doesn't manipulate anything.

Yeah I'd love to use a diuretic but I don't have them available to me. So for diet do you just go low carbs like 80 or less and keep intensity high? Or completely keto?

I'm running some compounds low dose and have S4 on the way as people says it's awesome for vascularity and cuts. Msten also as it always has dried me out and made me veiny

I tried taking epi and S4 together once but it sent my BP through the roof. I didn't even try to do it again lol.

My blood pressure is usually on the lower side so that might actually help my veins to pop out!

Yea it definitely should help with that. I would start with a low dose of S4 maybe like 25mg and bring it up if your BP is all good.

Yeah will do! If I flex I can pop good veins but they are just too relaxed most of the time..

How do you not have access to diuretics? At least an OTC version...

You'd be surprised what you can do in 4 weeks without to much gear. Diet, cardio, sleep and yohimbe HCL can go a long way lol.

Yeah I'm pretty much running minimal doses. I basically don't do cardio because I do construction all day and right now I'm low on sleep. Trying to change the sleep part. Using ECA at this point. Yesterday I did cardio and it ruined me for the whole day. My metabolism is pretty quick but this being first time I've tried to compete I'm trying to figure out where to run the carbs. Yesterday I was really low and it felt like it had a negative effect on fat layer. Which is strange. Also I've always said fats don't store much on the body and carbs are the evil. But on strict contest dieting maybe beef is actually not a help?

Are you eating any carbs before your workouts?

If you're lean enough and conditioning is on point, you honestly shouldn't need any diuretics or "tricks". I run (OG) Erase Pro for the last 3-4 weeks, which has worked very well. I'm currently 2.5 weeks out from a competition and added it last week.

Well I started eating 1/4 to 1/2 cup of oatmeal because I could hardly wake up even on ECA. The carbs made all the difference. Trying to read what my body is telling me. I'm the type that can grow on loads of carbs and way lower protein than bodyweight. This makes me think I need more than 30-50 carbs at this point. Is that what you are getting at?

I'm at maybe 10% and I want to drop 3-4 in the next 3 weeks. I've dropped that before but I think my anxiety about it now that I'll actually be competing, isn't helping me any

Yea basically I was getting at eating the majority of your carb allowance an hour or 2 before your workout. Being that you work construction though might change how you need to do things... I have a desk job so i can get away with eating a lot loss than most people especially if I cut back on cardio.

So you would put aside the idea that carbs are largely used for the better post workout and skip carbs at that time?

It's a tough call and maybe someone more experienced can chime in. When I did the six week BSL contest I ate my carbs prior to workouts because I don't think i would have been useful in the gym without them lol (I really tried to go without them but I couldn't overcome the lethargy). After the workout I ate my usual protein and cup full of veggies (usually broccoli). At the time I was using ~14mg osta (2 caps osta RX), 20mg epi (2 caps epismash), 10mg of yohimbe HCL and 50mg forskolin 95. I didn't win (or even place for that matter) but had good results for only 6 weeks. Sorry it won't let me upload the full size.

That's a lot if serious work to put in in 3.5 weeks man

Muscle tissue won't be saved

I'd look into being a little smarter and dieting for a later show

That is me coming fresh off off insulin, huge carbs, and huge carbs before I did insulin. Including carbs at breakfast, lunch, dinner and in between.
