*Effects of Superdrol*

Superdrol is a good "bulking" oral, it creates rapid gains in weight and strength starting in the first week. I'm commonly up 10 pounds in 10 days with SD and the same results are pretty common during the first week and a half or so. This is a result of rapid uptake of water and glycogen into your muscles. Recall that glycogen is the "fuel" for your muscles during a workout, so obviously one benefit of this is much greater strength and endurance during your workouts. The added water and glycogen will literally swell the muscles up, producing a fuller look and a much harder feel. The full muscles help to push out veins and increase vascularity as well. 

Strength gains generally start in the second week. The way I have come to see it is that your first workout on Superdrol has baseline strength, and then in the next week your muscular "healing" is greatly enhanced, so the next time it gets hit, strength is up. For many users it's common to add around 10 pounds to your bench every week. It is also important to note that the recovery period while on SD is generally much reduced; in the heart of an SD cycle I hardly notice DOMS and I can increase training frequency and continue to make outstanding gains. 

The anabolic environment created by Superdrol is excellent, so not only can incredible gains in size and strength be facilitated, but also it can work as an anti-catabolic agent during a cut or recomp. As Superdrol doesn't aromatize into estrogen, "bloat" shouldn't be an observed side effect; it is supposed to be "dry" and promote a hard look, certainly desirable when cutting. I have found in my own experience that SD can cause bloat if carb intake is high enough, but I think that is due to my own response to carbohydrates (I can't tolerate much without gaining fat). Many users report that SD requires a high carbohydrate intake because its actions to produce greater glycogen stores in the muscles mean lower blood sugar levels. Obviously for these people, SD may not be the best choice during a cut. Nonetheless, for some users the nutrient partitioning effects are so great that carbohydrate intake can be greatly elevated without fat gain becoming a problem. 


*How To Run Superdrol*

_Straight Cycle_
First time SD users should generally start at 10mg. This is done for several reasons A) to assess sides and response to the compound B) to go through your bottle sparingly and C) because the water/glycogen loading phase doesn't need a huge dose of SD. Even on 10mg you should feel better muscle hardness and pump within the first week (and you should have gained some water/glycogen pounds). When you are comfortable with what you are feeling you can bump up the dose to 20mg. 
20mg is generally the sweet spot with the compound. For the most sensitive users it is too much and produces bad backpumps and lethargy... For you lightweights, stick to 10. For users like myself, I could run 20mg forever. During the 2nd and 3rd week you should make excellent gains in size and strength. 
Taking the dose to 30mg is generally not necessary. For the majority of users, this causes side effects to increase moreso than gains. Personally, I felt like it was difficult to perceive the change in gains, but the suppression at 30mg became more apparent. If you are not making good gains on 20mg, then you need to seriously consider how good your diet and training is before moving to 30mg. Also consider that I DO think some SD clones out there are improperly formulated and may be weak; if your gains on 20mg suck, this may be the case. If side effects aren't a problem then go ahead with 30mg, but I generally feel that the 30+ range is only for users that A) have a higher tolerance for steroids and/or B) are wellll over 200 pounds
However you decide to run the cycle, restrict the duration to no more than 30 days. If you are doing 30mg most of the time, I wouldn't even recommend this; if you are one of those smart, patient users who is riding out 10mg, I would say the ceiling can be stretched a little, but don't try to push your luck too hard.

_Bridging & Alternatives_
Because SD elicits such rapid gains, a major problem is that they are difficult to keep. One workaround for this problem is to use Superdrol at the start of a longer cycle. For instance, using it to kickstart an injectable cycle. An example of that would look like:
Test Enanthate 500mg for 12 weeks, Superdrol ~20-30mg for the first 4 weeks. As soon as the SD ends, the test kicks in, and allows you to take a few months to capitalize on the already-impressive gains you have made.
Similarly, SD can be used to kickstart other oral cycles. I feel the best way to do this is to bridge into a less harsh oral steroid (Epi, "tren" or Pheraplex). An example of this would look like:
SD 10/20/20
Epi 00/00/30/40/40/40
This is a 6 week cycle that has SD for the first 3 weeks, where Epi begins on week 3 and continues for weeks 4/5/6. This allows big gains to be made initially and then a 3 week period for the gains to be hardened up and strength increased even further (even if bodyweight doesn't increase much more, that is not the point, the point is to retain more gains in the end by giving your body sufficient time to become "used" to them. 

*
PCT after Superdrol*

_SERMs_: always use a SERM starting the day after you stop dosing SD. Nolva, clomid and toremifene are the popular choices. Having tried all 3 I personally prefer clomid and I feel it is the fastest for restoring natural testosterone production and that is the most important aspect for retaining gains in PCT. I feel nolva is better employed for estrogen control. However they work differently for everyone and nolva protocols (usually 40/40/20/20 or 20/20/20/20) are very common and successful. Dosing on clomid varies depending on who you ask, I am a fan of dosing 100+mg for the first couple days and then tapering down to 50mg for the rest of the 28 day PCT period; some people are susceptible to the emotional sides of clomid and do not bother with doses that high, but run 50mg for 4 weeks. Both methods work! I always dose SERMs before going to sleep, as estrogenic activity is reported to be highest while you sleep. 
_AIs:_ I have never incorporated an AI into my PCT but they can be used in conjunction with a SERM, they just need to be used strategically. For instance I think it is important that an AI be tapered down so as to reduce any estrogen rebound effect. 
_Extras_: I think the gains made from SD are usually hard to keep and the more extras you can throw into PCT, the better. Some people love running cortisol blockers, some people run their cycle support supplements through PCT, some people like to throw in creatine as soon as their PCT starts, some people use Resveratrol or 6-bromo based testosterone boosters during or after their PCT. I think "more is better" is appropriate to a certain extent, in the end it becomes personal choice. 
To be honest, my PCT's are usually very light. A SERM + something random and extra. Most supplements don't work great for me... That's why I'm in the steroid section here...

Keeping Gains_: the most important thing for keeping gains in PCT is to keep on the diet and training and try not to get demotivated when you see strength dry up. You WILL lose strength when you come off of SD and you WILL lose weight. If you don't lose any weight at all, you can be sure that you're holding a lot of water or adding fat. Keep the training up, and NEVER lower your calories during PCT, that is the surest way to lose everything you just worked for. Currently, my approach is to use solid doses of clomid to raise natural test as quickly as possible, keep cals the same as on cycle, and keep plugging away at the same routine/same exercises as on cycle. This may not work for everyone but I seem to do better at keeping strength if i keep doing the same exercises. If i see a lift decreasing in PCT and decide to switch it out, I will tend to find that the lift has suffered greatly when I come back to it.

			<description><![CDATA[This week has been a bit hard on me. First of all, I've been really sick with the flu - which made it really hard for me to work out. In fact, I haven't been able to work out for two days now. What made this week harder is that my grandmother will be in town for three weeks - which means lots of parties; therefore a lot of food and drinks.

It's hard to resist the temptation of eating all those yummy family recipes, especially if everyone's eating and you're the only one holding back. I am proud of myself, though, for not indulging on the cake my aunt baked. So far, I have been able to stick to my planned daily food intake. Only flaw for this week is that I haven't been working out regularly.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get back to the gym soon. PLEASE MAKE THIS SICKNESS GO AWAY! :(]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[Who would have thought that shifting to a healthier lifestyle would be this hard? Of course, who ever said it will be easy? So far, my plan is to take my shift one step at a time. That it, I will be cutting back on my food intake. Not the kind of cut back wherein I starve myself, of course. I just want to take all the unhealthy food I eat - such as unnecessary snacks and drinks.

How's my progress so far?

Well, unfortunately, I gave in on a few sweets and sugary drinks on the *first day* of my diet! It is really hard when you see someone eating such delish candies and drinking iced tea. I couldn't resist when I was offered some. :twak:

BUT, that was yesterday. On the following days, I will see to it that I will start resisting offers of unnecessary food and drinks. I'll be sticking to my plan of three full meals a day (no snacks) with lots and lots of water.

As soon as I see some changes, I will start adding exercise and maybe some supplements to quicken weight loss.

I'd post before-and-after pictures... but I'm too ashamed of how I look now to even post. :sorry:

			<description><![CDATA[I just had my weight checked earlier this morning and weighed at about 121.41 lbs - a lot lighter than my previous weight of 132 lbs about a year ago. However, after checking with my trainer at the gym, I was told that a "healthy weight" for me is around 115 lbs. The numbers do not seem to be too far from each other, but I do believe it will require a lot of hard work for me to get to that goal (considering that I can get really lazy during some days).

SO. I decided to start a series of blog entries that will follow my attempt to shed off the pounds. I will include the types of food I eat, the diets I try, my exercise routines, and supplements I might take.

Hopefully, this will serve as a support system for me and a source of information for many.

The post exhaust sets are pretty efficient I can do the whole workout in about 40 mins, and I'll hit every body part 3 times a week (in a 6 day rotation). Not much else to say at the end of this week I'll take some new measurements.

 The most improvement I've seeing this last few days is in my back. I snapped a picture of my back this morning for documentation. I wish I had a before picture for comparison because I defiantly see growth there.

I'm now tipping the scales @ 167lbs lol which is pretty good for me.


_*Fearing the fat *_

I've been trying to bulk and cut body fat this whole time but everything I read (with very few exceptions) says to not fear the fat. That setting my sights on lean mass alone will net me 10-30% of the potential gains that would be had from a true bulking diet even after cutting the extra fat I would gain. I've been pretty skimpy on the carbs and heavy on the protein.

BMCJAMES recommended a macro-nutrient count of 33% protein/63%carbs/4%fat @ 4000 cals/day.

It seems in line with other bulking diets that are mostly between 30/60/10 and 45/50/5 give or take a point here or there. It's a hard thing mentally for a guy who's "best feature" was always his abs to willfully embrace the bulged... I suppose however it must be done.

I'm pretty much a noob so if anyone has anything to add I'm a willing student.

Well I'm making progress again, and it's a good thing too. I was pretty concerned about what seemed like a plateau so early in the EPIC recomp/lean mass gain expedition that is " The Manhattan Project".  I decided after a fair bit of research to switch up my routine. I was also able to see my Japanese heritage may play a role in the trouble I have always had - both gaining, and keeping weight. 

One article I found helped spur a change in my workout routine that has me as sore today as I was on Day 2 of  "The Manhattan Project". I'm still eating ALOT but I'm trying to clean it up. While my bodies natural proclivity is to burn and not store fat, I'm inclined to think that dynamic won't scale as a perfect 1:1 ratio with my increased caloric intake. Especially after examining the older members of my family from whom I derived my Ectomorphic physique. 

*_Who's Tamio Kono ?_*

The Short answer is pure awesome.

The long answer is a Japanese American, Olympic weight lifter who won gold in 1952 and 1956 and silver in 1960. 

 "Kono is the only lifter to have set world records in four different weightlifting classes: lightweight (149 pounds or 67.5 kilograms), middleweight (165 lb or 75 kg), light-heavyweight (182 lb or 82.5 kg), and middle-heavyweight (198 lb or 90 kg). - wikipedia"  

He was also Mr.Universe in 1955 and 1957

James Chan suggests that Kono may have used a post-exhaust compound sets along with diet of course to help sculpt the foundation of his phisique: 


"The post-exhaust technique requires that you perform a heavy multi-joint movement for a body part followed by a lighter single-joint movement for that same body part. An example of this would be a bench press followed immediately by dumbbell flyes. The beauty of this technique is three-fold:

   1. You develop the pure fast-twitch muscle fibers with a heavy compound movement and then hit the intermediate fast-twitch muscle fibers with the lighter movement.
   
   2. The post-exhaust technique allows you to extend the volume of a set, without compromising intensity.
   
   3. This technique also allows you to hit the body part from different angles with more than one exercise, without overextending the length of your workout. This way you can work on both bulk and symmetry.

Here’s a sample post-exhaust routine. Remember to use as much weight as you can on the first exercise of the compound set and move the weight as quickly as possible. This will activate the pure fast-twitch muscle fibers, which have the most growth potential. On the second exercise, use lighter weight with a more controlled tempo. Emphasize constant tension on this second exercise.


_Day 1_

Perform 5 compound sets for each body part, 5 reps for each exercise. Rest 2 minutes between each compound set.

Chest Compound Set:
   1. 20-degree incline dumbbell press
   2. 20-degree incline dumbbell flyes

Back Compound Set:
   1. Pull-ups
   2. Stiff-arm pulldowns

Shoulder Compound Set:
   1. Barbell clean and press

Well I'm making progress again, and it's a good thing too. I was pretty concerned about what seemed like a plateau so early in the EPIC recomp/lean mass gain expedition that is &quot; The Manhattan Project&quot;.  I decided after a fair bit of research to switch up my routine. I was also able to see my Japanese heritage may play a role in the trouble I have always had - both gaining, and keeping weight. <br />

One article I found helped spur a change in my workout routine that has me as sore today as I was on Day 2 of  &quot;The Manhattan Project&quot;. I'm still eating ALOT but I'm trying to clean it up. While my bodies natural proclivity is to burn and not store fat, I'm inclined to think that dynamic won't scale as a perfect 1:1 ratio with my increased caloric intake. Especially after examining the older members of my family from whom I derived my Ectomorphic physique. <br />

<b><u>Who's Tamio Kono ?</u></b><br />

The Short answer is pure awesome. <br />

I'm getting stronger, In fact I have gone up 10-15 lbs in almost every exercise I do (30lbs on dead lifts and 20lbs on seated rows) I'm leaning out more and becoming a little more vascular as well. I have also noticed more intensity and drive in work outs, when I have a protein shake for my pre-workout meal opposed to food.

*_The Bad News_*

I don't feel like I've had a good workout since Saturday the 24th. Why you ask? I'm not getting sore anymore :wtf1: I'm working out harder than I was last week, with more weight and more reps(most of the time) and i wake up each morning with just slight muscle fatigue but no soreness?!? 

I was thinking maybe I'm just recovering really fast... that sounds like wishful thinking if anything to me. I'm wondering do I need "muscle confusion" ? or have I seen one - too many late night px90 commercials? 
to top it off the increased workout pace seems to have me half a pound lighter on a bulking diet... Is this just my genetics kicking me in the arse... again? I hope all this is the result of user error ('cause I'm a noob) and not something more worrisome like genetics or a CURSE... only a little funny because after all...

This is "The Manhattan Project" and A-Bombs are not funny...  A-Bombs need to blow up... This is more like mild radiation poisoning at this point... not cool... help? anyone have any ideas?]]></description>

			<description>Feeling ok.  Almost done hunger pain @ this point are slim.  Decided to go yesterday and get more blood work done.  The results will be in tomorrow.  I have been doing alot of praying and reading the word.  I know that God is with me and he is going to heal me.  I need to keep negative thoughts from entering my head and when they do  i need to focus on God and his promises.  Tomorrow is going to be a real big day for me, and is going to change the way I live life forever.  I want to be closer to God and follow his decrees.   Iwant to be a more loving person and laugh alot more.  Well God willing my blog tomorrow will be full of great news!!!!!!</description>

			<description><![CDATA[yesterday i did my back workout i only had about 40 mins to work out so i did 4 sets of 8 reps of:

wide grip pull downs
close grip pull downs 
seated rows
and deadlifts on
(I planed to do shrugs but in my haste I completely forgot)

What's good is that I've gone up on almost all my (back) lifts by 10lbs or more today ill workout quads, hams, calves, and forearms. After seeing a few of the guys on the forums praise the DC training techniques, and reading through about half of the "new to dc training" thread - I'm sure I'll start it sooner than later but I need to read more on the blast/cruise cycle and the diet requirements before I jump in it. I like the ideology behind the program though.

I snagged the digital cam from my wife before she took off to work and was able to snap a decent picture. Now I'm off to work.

(no pump pretty much just woke up)

			<description><![CDATA[Woke up this morning feeling great.  No hunger pains once again.  Incredible!!!!  I was able to sleep most of the night ( only got up once).  The trend is continuing.  No frequent trips to the bathroom like before.  Yesterday I went out with my family to holloween horror nights.  We all had a great time.  I diidn't need to use the bathroom due to my early water consumption.  I started drinking water very early in the morning and stopped a few hours before leaving the house.  This proved to be a great idea.  At the event there was alot of food being served.  The smell of hamburgers on the grill really didn't cause me as much discomfort as I thought it would.  Yesterday however was a tough day. If it wasn't for my brother giving me a pep talk it would of been alot harder.  Thank God for my brother he really helped me put it all in perspective.  I was then able to go in my backyard, take my shirt of and practice some deep breathing techniques.  I started to relax while breathing deeply, and praying to Jesus to help me get thru this.  With Jesus I could do all things, and I thank him for being my savior.  Now this is day 5, Yeah BABYYYYYY!  Almost done only 5 more days to go.  I am starting to debate on when I will go to get blood work done.  I read that having to much or to little protein in the diet could affect your creatinine levels.  As I am trying to get my creatinine levels down I plan on going to the health food store and purchasing wheat grass.  Wheat grass is recommended on the cleansing program.  It is easy on the system and won't interfere with the detox process.  It also has protein which will be beneficial to me as I haven't eaten any food since 5 days ago.]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[Good workout today my bench press max  has gone up 10lbs since 10/12/09. 

I did 
4 sets of 7 reps flat bench (guillotine style) 
4 sets of 7 reps incline
4 sets of 7 reps preacher curls
4 sets of 7 reps of tricep pull downs

2 sets of 7 reps forearm curls and 20 mins on the elliptical (I don't care much for the elliptical the stride feels short and unnatural to me @ 6'2" but thought i would switch it up from the normal bike routine)

Woke up this morning and no hunger pains.  During my regular days I would wake up very hungry and looking forward to a big breakfast.  To my surprise this is not the case.  I also have found that I am sleeping longer thru the night.  I thought by drinking my bodyweight in ounces of water would have me waking up numerous times during the night, but that is also not the case.  When I was consuming creatine I would get up about 4 times a night to urinate, now I am only waking up once.  To me that is very interesting.  I also noticed that the smell of my urine is substantially different.  While on creatine and Bcaas my urine had a pungent smell. I mean this stuff smelled awfull.  I would not flush the toilet at night because I frequented the bathroom so often that I found it unnecessary to waste water, therefore I flushed in the morning.  Since starting the detox and discontinuing all supplements and food I decided to let my urine sit in the toilet for a long time in order to find out if my urine smell would change.  I found that the smell has changed dramatically and concluded that my system was perhaps overloaded with all the extra supplements, therefore the strong pungent urine smell. Well I am feeling good and strong beginning day IV, and looking forward to day V.  Only 6 more days to go.:13:</description>

Bfast - 8 ounces of left over Carne asada fajitas form the night before & a bowl of oatmeal 

Post workout -bowl of oatmeal and about 6 ounces of chicken (2 drumsticks) 

after shower - 2 scoops of milk muscle and 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream

watched the dvr'd episode of Mondays Heroes then ate- a Whataburger double burger w/fries

After Bible study with the wife - 3 Salmon hand rolls ( = to a bowl of rice about 1/3 a cucumber and 9 ounces of raw salmon)

I don't know the calorie count but its about double what I was eating this time last month.

Yesterday I took new measurements and today I purchased a scale here's the damage

			<description><![CDATA[After receiving my recent blood work showing elevated levels of creatinine I decided to detox my body of all the waste inside.  The detox wil last for 10 days.  Today I am on day 3.  The detox only allows for ample water.  I need to drink my bodyweight in ounces, and 3 natural organic substances that are made by the earth.  I cannot eat any foods while I embark on this journey.  I thought it would be impossible, since I have been eating every 4hours and trainning hard for many years. I don't know which is harder not eating or not trainning.  However I feel pretty good going on day 3 with no food whatsoever.  It is amazing that the body can go without food for a while. Have thought of doing a Halodrol-50 cycle, but this is old school I guess, not around any more.  I do triathlons so I'm not looking to really bulk up.  Don't know where to purchase, how to stack, PCT??  Does someone have a shopping list.  I'm looking to stay legal and safe.  I don't need quick results, over 3 months is fine with me.  Did test cycles when I was younger without any issues, large lower body, hard to develop arms, good chest mass.]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[I recently was linked to a video report on your website about supposed illegal steroids being sold over the counter. I'd like to say that your biased, non-objective views on this subject are not only feeding people propoganda and contributing to the government attempting to screw with American's Free will to do what they want with their body, but they are also sorely misconstrued. Because not only is Xtreme Tren legal, but doesn't even closely resemble Trenbolone, but actually Dienolone which IS Legal. And there are studies that can back that up.

While these supplements are relatively easily available to anyone, the problem comes down to common sense and being a better parent. 

The information about the risks of these supplements are clearly stated ON THE BOTTLE. Not for use by anyone under 21, and there is a plethora of information on the internet that is unbiased. There is no mystery as to what these supplements are for, there is no deception and anyone who is too naive or lazy to read between the lines deserves what they get in my opinion.

I really don't pay attention to the news for reason like this report you have done. You are contributing to the robbing of Free Will of the American people. Not only is that not right, it's unconstitutional. The responsible majority should not have to be punished or have to suffer because of the irresponsible minority.

There are far, far worse things than Steroids and Prohormones. These steroids crusades are a waste of time and tax payers dollars. How about reporting about the dangers of Achohol and Tobacco rather than focus on something that involves less than 1% of the worlds population.

I hope that you take this into consideration and attempt to be more objective in your news reporting. If you'd like I'd be more than happy to assist you in reporting this, giving you a chance to hear things from another perspective.
