I would use caution and just use one or the other. Better safe than sorry!

Yea. When I start the shift for 8 weeks I will cease the kelp n start it back after the 8 weeks.

I haven't noticed a difference when taking with or between meals, but tend to do between based on my schedule. I've taken one right before bed with no problem at all.
