My Dad is 87....been thinking that he could really really benefit from some TRT. Is their any reason why the elderly would not get TRT? Do the elderly get TRT? Thanks guys....

During my last visit with my TRT doctor, he talked about treating an 85 year old - said the guy reported he felt great.

87.
I'm going to try and wrap my head around that one.

How active is he?
Vitals? BP. HR.

What did his last bloods look like. Hematocrit etc. ?

TRT will raise all of them and I don't think he's eligible to donate so blood letting would be needed.

What did doc say?

Got one heart valve left and never worked out. Not fat. Mobilty is the biggest problem now. Was just trying to see if elderly (that qualify) get this...ty

Ask your doctor.

He might even recommend a low dose Testosterone cream, or other light HRT. Give him the boost he needs to promote bone density, strength, so he can gain more mobility.

You'r a good son to be concerned for him.
I really want to hear what your doctor has to say about it.

Good luck to you both.

At 87, I would say why not go for it if it adds some kick ass years.
