How long for TRT effects to kick in
I am ending my first two weeks of TRT therapy - 200 mg test cyp along with 200 mg HCG. Curious to know how long it has taken others to achieve noticeable results and what kind of expectations I should have. I have been eating right and exercising regular which usually has helped me feel a little better without the injections.

You may start noticing libido and mood enhancement within the end of week two. As for test's other effects, it will probably be close to a month due to the long ester (cypionate).
At a low TRT dose like that you probably won't notice a huge muscle building effect but I'm sure you'll build a bit and lose some fat.

200mg is not a low TRT dose, it is on the high side. The problem is that it sounds like they are doing ti every 2 weeks, which is not good. Once you start to notice the effects (provided you actually need to be on it), you'll notice the "roller coaster". The peak and cruise, then the drop about 8-10 days after injection. You would be better served doing 100mg a week.

Sorry, I was speaking on relation to a bodybuilding dose.

Yeah, that is a high dose. Others can explain better, but with a dose that high and added HCG, you are probably converting a lot of that to estrogen. I know that most people running 200 a week have issues, so they start low and work their way up.
I see that you need an AI. You may not need that if you run a lower dose or split it up differently.

Would it be better to split into two injections then instead if all at once? I experienced a big energy and mood lull on the last day of the week also and from reading through posts it sounds like splitting the dose might help with that also. I am not sure if there would be a negative to this especially if it is being converted to estrogen the way I am injecting now.

Instead of seeing positive benefits from TRT, you're most likely going to see the negatives of increased e2 (depending on your dose of anastrozole, and if you can figure out the right dose for your body). You really should start splitting the dose into 2x/week injections, or 3x/week like I do. I doubt you really need 200mg of test a week if you're just doing TRT, 100mg should be fine. Try 50mg/2x a week, or around 35mg/3x a week. The latter works best for me. I don't even use an AI, and don't have any problem with elevated e2 like I did when I shot 50mg/2x a week. Injecting 50mg twice a week had my total testosterone over 1250 and e2 around 50, which was giving me extreme anxiety and irritability. This past month (since I started the 3x/week injections) has literally been my happiest and best month this year!! Funny how unbalanced hormones can totally f- up your life.

It is also a balancing act with normal life and time. I don't know anyone that would be willing to inject themselves 3x a week for the rest of their life- you are pretty unique. Would 2x a week be a more "even" ride? Yeah, sure. I tried it and it was fine, but not fine enough for me to look forward to pinning myself twice a week. It's personal choice in the end.

I was given anastrozole at .5 mg 3 times weekly. Currently my weekly routine looks like this...
Day 1 - 200 mg test cyp and 100 mg vitamin B injection
Day 2 - nothing
Day 3 - .5 mg anastrozole
Day 4 - nothing
Say 5 - 100 mg hcg and .5 mg anastrozole
Day 6 - 100 mg hcg
Day 7 - .5 mg anastrozole
I will finish this through my third week then might try splitting the test into 100 mg twice weekly just to see how it goes. I am not sure how I would have to adjust the rest of the week though. If I, say, did 100 mg test day one and four would the rest remain the same or would it be advisable to adjust that as well? Would there be any adverse affects if I backed the dosage down to 100 mg as mentioned? Sorry for all the questions but I want to get it right - thanks for the feedback thus far - this is an extremely helpful and informative site compared with others dealing with the same topics!

I agree. Even if I had to pin every day I wouldn't mind. It's almost like brushing your teeth in the morning and actually takes about the same amount of time. No hassle at all.

I noticed the first effects driving to work from the clinic after my first 140 mg test cyp shot. It was just a general feeling of wellbeing something I hadnít felt in a couple years. Within two weeks I was adding 5lbs. a week to my Deadlift and Squat which had been stagnant for months, and within a month my Bench started going up again. Somewhere in the first month I stopped having mood swings and started to feel much more Alpha like I used to. Note that when I started my free test level was 60 so that might explain the rapid changes.I am ending my first two weeks of TRT therapy - 200 mg test cyp along with 200 mg HCG. Test at 299, that's pretty high. I do not take a pharma AI, I use Erase at 1 per day, and my E2 is 26, not bad for 200mg/week in my opinion. Watch out for joint pain from your AI, sure sign of E2 isues. As for "kicking in" you are not going to feel it like you do on a good oral, it's going to be smooth with a feeling of well being. I have noticed some muscle gain, biggest change is a reduction in fat. With that said, I was never fat, LBM was 16% before TRT, down to 13% in just three months.
