The main point is that no matter if it’s staying up late for studying, having a diet consisting mostly of junk food or drinking too much beer, college students have a tendency to put on weight.

 

3. Your stress levels are too high

One survey done by the American Psychological Association has found that around 40 percent of people that experience high-stress levels deal with their problems through excessive eating. The increased appetite is followed by an increased production of cortisol, also known as the stress hormone, which has the potential to slow down metabolism.

 

4. You’re simply dieting the wrong way

Eating clean foods shouldn’t be something you do for several weeks just to get ready for the summer.
